V-Continent Chongqing Hotel

This is the first time I've ever caught a cold from freezing in a hotel—no wonder it was so cheap. I checked in around noon on Oct 4th, and everything went smoothly until I got back from downtown that evening. The room was freezing. I tried adjusting the thermostat to no avail, so I turned down the fan speed. After waiting half an hour, there was no change at all (by then, I was already severely congested and talking through my nose). I contacted the front desk, only to be told the AC was centrally controlled and couldn't be adjusted. I asked, "Is the central setting seriously 19°C (66°F)?" The front desk said yes! Their "solution" was for me to turn it off until the room warmed up, and then turn it back on once it got too hot. It was almost 11 PM, meaning my only options were to freeze, sweat, or wake up repeatedly throughout the night to toggle the AC on and off. Only after I stood my ground and pushed back did they finally agree to send maintenance, who found that the control panel was actually broken. The manager came up to apologize and offered free breakfast. I declined, explaining that I only called because I was literally catching a cold, and I was shocked that the front desk's initial response was to just brush me off. The manager then replied that the weather in Chongqing had been fluctuating wildly these past few days. Excuse me?? I'm from Sichuan—is there really that big of a climate difference between Sichuan and Chongqing? I didn't catch a cold in Sichuan, but suddenly caught one from a 1-degree difference the day I arrived in Chongqing? Did I not catch it from staying in your freezing, air-conditioned room after walking around the city? I even have the receipt for the fever medicine I bought as proof. Judging purely on service compared to other hotels in this price range, this was hands down the worst experience I've had. The only reason I gave two stars for service is that the manager proactively came to apologize, but that was merely damage control after the fact. I was left to deal with the consequences on my own. I honestly cannot give a single good review.

The hotel has great facilities, and the TV has international channels. It's also close to Chongqing East Railway Station, which makes visiting Wulong very convenient.

This is already my second time staying here. The experience was great, and the service was warm and welcoming. The location is also fantastic—very close to the subway and shopping malls. Overall, a wonderful stay.

From the lobby to the rooms, every detail exudes refined elegance. The staff, from the welcoming doorman to the front desk and housekeepers, were all incredibly friendly and provided attentive service. Convenient parking was a major plus, adding to the overall positive experience.

The five-star service was consistently excellent throughout my entire stay, from the concierge's luggage assistance to the daily housekeeping, all demonstrating a high level of professionalism. The hotel's overall ambiance is elegant and tranquil, the rooms offer expansive views, and the facilities are meticulously maintained. The dining was consistently good and delicious. This stay far exceeded my expectations, making it an ideal choice for both business meetings and leisure travel. Xiao Zhang from reception and Xiao Ting from the front desk were particularly wonderful and provided excellent service.

The hotel facilities are excellent, the room is spacious, and I was very satisfied with the bedding and bathroom. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the Chongqing noodles were fantastic! The front desk and housekeeping staff were all very warm and attentive.

Absolutely fantastic! The front desk proactively upgraded us to a suite, and they even escorted us to our private car upon departure. The hotel's design is very aesthetically pleasing, with no gaudy, mismatched colors – it's a perfect blend of sophisticated business and cozy comfort. It's only a 12-minute drive from Chongqing East Railway Station, making its location excellent. This is by far the best business travel hotel in the Chongqing East Station area. Highly recommended!

Its comprehensive complementary facilities, such as the gym and card room, cater to the varied needs of different guests. Furthermore, the thorough safety and security measures ensure guests feel completely at ease.

Overall, a fantastic stay that I thoroughly enjoyed. Cleanliness: Impeccably clean, neat, and aesthetically pleasing. Service: Excellent and truly impressive. Highly recommended, especially for solo travelers. It offers great value for money. I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend staying here.
