The location is perfect and the view is amazing. Room was quiet small and the bathroom not very nice .

I really liked the view from the 15th-floor window; it was a beautiful panorama. We were surprised that the bathroom only had soap, shower gel, and shampoo in large jars, no slippers, and no drinking water. The price was only for the view. The breakfast was okay, even good. You could eat cheaper in cafes.

The hotel building is one of the few tall buildings. The room is very clean and large. If you stay on the 24th floor, you can see the whole of Alicante and have a beautiful sea view. In the morning, the sun ☀️ climbs into the room and the air is filled with the fragrance of the blue sea. I will stay again next time live here

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful beach, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, market ,shops, and bars nearby. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Everything we needed was within easy walking distance, making it an ideal place for a holiday. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. love this hotel & beach a throw away. Thankyou to all for looking after us so well..

This review is based on two stays over a two-week period, totaling ten nights, which gave me a good overall impression of the hotel. The hotel enjoys an excellent location in the heart of Alicante. Most rooms offer stunning views of the city, the marina, and the sea. The breakfast is decent and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, these positive aspects are largely overshadowed by extremely poor customer service. First of all, the hotel's two elevators are very old and incredibly slow. It is not uncommon to wait several minutes before being able to go up or down. The biggest issue, however, is the staff, who seem to have very little understanding of customer service. Throughout both of my stays, I was repeatedly met with indifference and, at times, outright rudeness. Here are just a few examples: On July 5, I was asked to pay immediately for two breakfasts. As a MeliáRewards Silver member, I am entitled to one complimentary breakfast when purchasing another. The employee was unaware of this benefit and became visibly annoyed when I pointed it out. I requested a dental kit through the hotel's app. It never arrived. I asked for the minibar price list. I was told it would be brought to my room. It never was. I reported that the room telephone was not working. I was assured that a technician would come immediately. No one ever came. Despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging on the door, housekeeping entered the room while we were asleep. I asked the front desk whether a late check-out would be possible. Without even asking for my room number or checking availability, the receptionist simply handed me a price list. At around 5:30 p.m., I asked the front desk if they could reserve a table for me at the panoramic restaurant on the 26th floor. Instead of helping, the receptionist handed me a business card and told me to call the restaurant myself. I reminded her that the room phone was out of order. She simply replied, "Oh," and walked away without offering any solution. At 8:00 p.m., I went to the restaurant in person. I was greeted very rudely by a bearded waiter who barely looked at me before abruptly saying the restaurant was full and immediately returning to his work. When I asked whether I could at least have a drink, he simply replied, "Ask the bartender." This level of service is unacceptable for a hotel of this category and falls far below the standards one would expect from a hotel affiliated with the Meliá brand. In summary, the Grand Sol offers an outstanding location and breathtaking views, but it is let down by outdated facilities and, above all, a customer service culture that needs serious improvement. After two stays totaling ten nights, I can confidently say that these were not isolated incidents but recurring problems. With better-trained, more customer-focused staff, this hotel could be an excellent place to stay. Unfortunately, in its current state, I cannot recommend it.

Was a bit worried about coming to hotel after reading some poor reviews. We actually had the opposite experience of the people with poor experiences. We booked a premium room and our room was like a penthouse suite with the best views across Alicante. The air conditioning was great, our room cleaned every day and probably the best views that I have seen in any hotel. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast didn’t disappoint. Food to a very high standard. Breakfast on until 11am which is quite unusual but good and fresh food and hot rolls being served until then. My husband gluten free and good selection of breads and muffins. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. Probably best staff we have encounters. We had an issue with hot water and plumber attended and fixed within half an hour. The location of the hotel is absolutely ideal as close to everything. If there was anything that could be improved would only say maybe bigger lifts or more lifts. However the wait time considering the size of hotel was mainly short. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. If you have a fear of heights then would request a room on a lower floor

pensioners jolly, location good, though some said nearby disco across the marina was loud, i find after 8 or 10 hrs being out its not a problem. room fine. what i'm really reviewing is the hot (i use the word hot mockingly) breakfast, if i was like the uk's european cousins and went for a cold meal in the morning, great. but i like to line the stomach at the start of the day, each morning i arrived at breakfast at different times and found they even put it out initially lukewarm, its the only hotel i've stayed at i've had to microwave my meal Great view from bar
