Karuizawa Prince Hotel East

The hotel's facilities are excellent overall, with complimentary drinks available throughout the day at irregular intervals, along with some free snacks. The hotel is nestled in a forest, offering a wonderful environment. Plus, it's very close to the outlets.

Check-in at the hotel starts at 3 PM. We arrived two hours early, and they wanted an extra 3000 yen for early check-in, which my friend wasn't happy about. So, we decided to take a taxi to the Stone Church instead. The taxi cost 3800 yen, and the driver was very kind, even telling us how to find the bus for our return trip. The hotel room was quite spacious. The East Wing has a hot spring, but unfortunately, we were too tired to use it. Breakfast in the East Wing is a Japanese set meal, with a self-service salad bar, fruit, and beef curry rice. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service from Karuizawa Station, making transportation quite convenient. The shuttle runs approximately every 30 minutes.

Clean and tidy. The shuttle bus to Karuizawa Station right at the doorstep is very convenient; you can ask the front desk for the schedule. The outlet is just a 5-minute walk away. Major nearby attractions include Stone Church, Kumoba Pond, and Old Karuizawa. This is my third visit to Karuizawa. The previous two times were during the winter ski season. Spring has a pleasant temperature; although there's a temperature difference between morning and night, strolling around during the day is very comfortable. I highly recommend visiting in spring, April-May.

This is the best choice if the kids want to ski and the adults want a place to wander around! We can relax in the hot springs, stroll around the outlets, and the kids can ski to their hearts' content. We can also drive to the Karuizawa shopping street for a leisurely walk. It's an effortless trip, perfect!

Convenient transportation and an elegant environment, but the facilities in the East Wing are outdated.

Excellent location, very close to the station and the outlets, plus they have a shuttle bus. The hotel's service and cleanliness were also top-notch.

The location is absolutely unbeatable, right behind Prince Outlet. Every day after shopping, we'd have dinner, and there was a bus shuttle service back to the hotel. The hotel is nestled in the forest, so the air quality is fantastic, full of oxygen. My only minor complaint is that due to the wooden structure, there was a slight musty smell in the room. Other than that, everything was perfect.
