Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan

The environment here is truly beautiful, and our riverfront pool villa was very comfortable, although not very private as kayaks would pass by frequently, and the pool itself was quite small. The in-villa dining was excellent, highly recommended. Breakfast was decent, but after three days, it got a bit repetitive with not many choices. Personally, I don't think this Four Seasons offers good value for money, especially during peak season; paying nearly 20,000 a night and not even getting a complimentary airport transfer is disappointing. The service was only average, perhaps because there were many guests, or maybe it's just that we had just come from staying at an Aman resort for a few days – there's no harm in comparison, and Aman's service is truly top-tier. So, coming to the Four Seasons felt a bit anticlimactic. The Four Seasons I stayed at in Koh Samui last time was much better than this one.

Staying at the Four Seasons Sayan in Ubud again after ten years, the overall environment still maintains its unique tranquil atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle, making it incredibly healing and relaxing. The grounds are lush with greenery, layers of vibrant foliage greet you everywhere, and the garden landscaping is meticulously maintained, showing care in every detail. We made sure to visit the riverside restaurant, and the food was delicious and suited our taste; my child particularly loved it. The hotel service deserves commendation; every staff member had a smile on their face and treated us with warmth and courtesy. However, there were two small disappointments: While the Four Seasons room rate is quite high among Ubud hotels, all snacks and drinks in the mini-fridge in the pool rooms require extra payment, and even breakfast delivered to the room incurs an additional charge, which significantly detracts from the value for money. Also, the hotel's activity offerings haven't been updated or changed much over the years, which is a bit of a shame.

An absolutely amazing experience! The hotel is not far from Ubud, yet it feels wonderfully secluded. The spa treatment was incredibly relaxing, and we even got a complimentary upgrade to a villa. The service was excellent, and the environment was truly beautiful.

This trip was to celebrate my husband's birthday, and thanks to the hotel staff's excellent service, it turned out to be absolutely wonderful. The price was high, but it was worth every penny for such a top-notch experience. I'd love to stay here again.

Stepping across the suspended boardwalk, I entered the mystical realm of the Ubud rainforest. ✨ The rainforest villa, nestled amidst lush valleys, exuded a sense of Zen with its teak furniture and handmade textiles, while the private pool reflected the layered greenery. Waking up to bird song in the morning and falling asleep to the gentle murmur of the Ayung River at night, this tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle is truly a balm for the soul. The riverside restaurant was an even bigger surprise. Facing the river valley beneath swaying palm trees, the slow-roasted Balinese duck with satay sauce was incredibly aromatic, and the French gratin incorporated local spices, offering a double feast for both taste buds and eyes. As the evening breeze swept through, listening to the symphony of flowing water and chirping insects, this is truly the relaxation a vacation should embody~

It was quite late when I arrived, but everything at the hotel was perfectly arranged. The complimentary dinner was a fantastic experience with excellent service. I stayed at two Four Seasons hotels in Bali, and compared to Jimbaran, I much prefer Sayan for its warm and attentive service and serene environment.
