Linghai Hotel (Sunlight Rock Gangzaihou Beach Branch)

Extremely satisfied! Although it was a bit hard to find, the staff's attitude was super friendly. There's afternoon tea from 2-5 PM, and the breakfast in the morning is quite generous! Communication with the staff was quick and thoughtful. Absolutely fantastic value for money 💗 Top-notch hotel on the island. The breakfast is very rich, with noodles every day, complemented by different snacks (sweet potatoes, glutinous corn, sesame glutinous rice balls), and refreshing cucumbers and tomatoes. Coffee and milk are self-serve, and the dining environment is lovely, with books about Gulangyu Island. The afternoon tea is also plentiful, with fresh fruit and cakes that have a tropical flair (pineapple/mango flavored), generous portions, and delicious. When checking in, I chatted with the front desk, and they gave us a paper map of Gulangyu Island, detailed a sightseeing route, and gave us discount coupons for a partner restaurant. There's a laundry service. The lobby has old photos and sofas, and the room has a balcony with a view. Waking up to fresh air on the balcony every morning felt incredibly comfortable and made for great photos!

The view is pleasant during the day when it's sunny, but the trees might be too tall, blocking a significant portion of the sea view. The hotel room was clean. Mosquito coils are available at the front desk.

Great location, right next to Sunlight Rock. The hotel offers luggage transfer service, which was a huge relief! They also thoughtfully prepared afternoon tea, and breakfast was excellent. I'd definitely book again next time!

A truly wonderful experience! The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and the breakfast was quite exquisite. They even upgraded us for free to a room with a large balcony ♪٩(´ω`)و♪. A special shout-out to Mr. Fu An! Our flight was early, so we had to be at the pier by 8 AM. He kindly helped us transport all our luggage to the pier with a cart. He worked super hard and we're so grateful for his help!

The location is fantastic, you can go upstairs and enjoy the sea view. Breakfast is good, and they even arrange afternoon tea, which is really pleasant. The thoughtful service allows you to relax and enjoy your trip. I'll definitely go back next time.

The room was really spacious, and the bathroom was so big it echoed! Having both a tub and a shower was a nice touch. The bed was huge and felt magical to lie on – I slept like a log. Breakfast wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped, but the hotel environment itself was excellent. I did get lost a few times trying to find the hotel from Sanqiutan though.😅

The attic room facilities are a bit old, but it comes with a large terrace offering excellent views of Sunlight Rock and the twin towers. The hotel's luggage transfer service from the pier to the hotel and back is fantastic.

My window faced a stairwell, and when I asked to switch to an empty room upstairs, the front desk said I'd have to pay extra. The breakfast was far from five-star standard. I understand that facilities on an island might be basic, but if this is considered five-star, then actual five-star hotels should be called eight-star. The price wasn't cheap either. Objectively speaking, it should really be called a guesthouse.
