It is the Hisense Discovery Center, a new landmark that must be visited in Qingdao after the mountain, sea and cultural landscapes.
Hisense Discovery Center is located at No. 11 Jiangxi Road, Shinan District. It was invested and built by Hisense Group and independently operated by its wholly-owned subsidiary Qingdao Hisense Technology Culture Management Co., Ltd. It integrates a science museum, a natural history museum and a museum. Adhering to the concept of "success comes from curiosity" and its mission is to "protect the curiosity and childlike innocence of millions of families through exploration". It is a new type of science museum in China that achieves age segmentation, knowledge segmentation and regional segmentation.
Since its official opening on September 28, 2019, Hisense Discovery Center has always insisted on creating a high-quality science and technology venue with Hisense characteristics to explore new science and technology models with "curiosity". 1. Little Scientists’ Happy Planet: Immersive Science Theme Park
More three-dimensional than books, more open than classrooms, and more attractive than toys. Hisense Discovery Center has a construction area of 10,000 square meters and five permanent exhibition halls: Science Enlightenment Hall, Science Discovery Hall, Natural Exploration Hall, World Consumer Electronics Museum, and Hisense History and Culture Hall. There are more than 500 exhibits/items on display.
Different from the traditional science and technology museum, this is more like a science theme park, cherishing curiosity, emphasizing active exploration, and interesting interaction. Among all the exhibits, more than 200 are interactive and experiential exhibits. Just press the start button and science will be presented in front of you, allowing children to learn knowledge in a pleasant play. From "Where do I come from" to "wind power generation" to "chicken hatching", every interaction will make people exclaim in wonder. Many of these exhibits are rare, and 23 of them are even domestic firsts.
Combining simulation landscaping with textbook design, you can learn 651 knowledge points about traveling around the world here. "See clearly, touch, smell, and remember firmly", Hisense Discovery Center makes abstract scientific knowledge really "live".
1. Science Museum: From Enlightenment to Discovery
The Discovery Center has two science museums suitable for children of different ages.
1F, 2F Science Enlightenment Hall:It is mainly aimed at children aged 3-12 years old. It absorbs and draws on the world's advanced science concepts. Through immersive environment design and more than 100 interactive exhibits developed originally, such as Bubble World, Wonderland Space, and Gear Park, children can move from passive knowledge transfer to active experience and exploration. It covers core exhibits such as human life science, lever principle, inertia, direct and reflected light, and Rubik's Cube Robot. Even real functional vehicles (fire trucks, harvesters, bulldozers) and helicopters are placed in the venue to stimulate children's thirst for knowledge and curiosity.
3F Science Discovery Museum:It is mainly aimed at all ages over 8 years old, closely combines the knowledge points of physics and mathematics in primary and secondary schools, takes the wonderful basic scientific phenomena as the exhibition content, and has more than 100 scientific activity exhibits around acoustics, mathematics, mechanics, electromagnetism, and optics. It covers Newton's first law, second law, Bernoulli's principle, visual persistence, and Mobius strip classic knowledge.
2. Nature Museum: Simulation Landscape + Indoor Zoo
The Nature Exploration Hall is located on the fourth floor. It is themed "Natural Science Exploration" and closely integrates knowledge from biology and geography textbooks for primary and secondary schools. There are six permanent exhibition areas: desert, plain, rainforest, grassland, ocean, and polar regions. For example, in the desert area, you can see the simulated landscaping of the Yadan landform in Xinjiang Ghost Town. Through the introduction of the global desert area and related geographical knowledge, natural phenomena in the desert, and active animal and plant displays, children can learn about the desert in all aspects.
The popular chick hatching exhibit allows children to witness the entire process from a fertilized egg to the birth of a chick. In addition to marveling at the magic of life, they can also adopt a chick as a cute pet. There are also groundhogs that can dig holes and make emojis, cute little hedgehogs and chinchillas, as well as various wonderful insects, bearded dragons, corn snakes, etc. More than 100 kinds of animals and plants plus simulated landscaping make people feel like they are there.

World Consumer Electronics Museum:There are more than 200 home appliance collections on display, covering display, washing, refrigeration and communication technologies, including the world's first TV, refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine and even Bell Labs' mobile phone.
