A great location if you want a beach experience. This hotel was our favourite on this trip. They were friendly, accommodating, and the meals were the best we experienced. The rooms are small, there is a good breakfast, and meeting rooms are available. It is close to Ortona, but you need your own transportation to get to Ortona, and other cities such as Lanciano. This hotel is not within walking distance to Ortona.

Classic Beach Front hotel. Situated in a quiet beach area. Rooms clean and tidy with balcony. Hotel staff all very friendly. Restaurant is very nice at reasonable prices. Head waiter is very professional and caring. All in all a very good stay in this part of Italy.

Very difficult to find your way there It was a one night stay on our way to Bologna. Place was very clean and the receptionist was very kind but NO COFFEE again in the room. Or easy access to get a coffee. FULL BREAKFAST was very well done, however. Also, the location is very very difficult to find especially after dark - not enough lights around and we were there end of October. Restaurant was closed and again - there was absolutely nothing around in October without having to get into the car - it would have been so stressful to have to find our way back.

We stayed at Hotel Mara for four nights whilst we visited my wife’s family. We booked a room with the sea view, which allowed us to watch the spectacular sunrises before falling back to sleep each morning. As it turned out, the room booking did not allow access to the pool or beach, which then cost about 18 euro a day extra. That was pretty different for us as just about every photo of the hotel had the pool included when you booked. This seems to be an Italy thing, so we paid the extra. You also had to wear a swim cap in the pool, which made for some humorous photos. Despite these few negatives, the place was superb, the staff so so friendly and helpful. They spoke enough English for us to get by. The huge positive was the hotel restaurant which was exceptionally good. Great food and great service. We would have eaten there every night had we not had the luxury of eating home made food with the wife’s family on a couple of nights. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

Nice hotel on the beach with a large swimming pool. Staff were really nice and helpful. Wi-Fi was great. You do need a car and there is onsite parking.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The room was very spacious, and the balcony was an added bonus! Being from the U.S., I was surprised to learn that there is a fee per person per day for the pool and a separate fee for the beach too! But overall, a great stay!
