Grand Hotel Tremezzo

Beautiful and iconic property inside and out. It’s incredible to think that they’ve been able to maintain this establishment that was built in 1910 to such a high standard. All the spaces are so beautifully designed, even the spa itself.  We also were able to take wedding photos at the hotel which was a nice perk as some other Lake Como hotels restrict this even if you’re a guest. This we really appreciated as the venues within are very classic and stunning.  Some things to bear in mind of -  service at the restaurants is pretty inconsistent in terms of proactiveness, timeliness and attitude  - value for money for their food is average

This hotel is stunning . Everyone you stand or sit you are looking at something beautiful. The decor , the design , the attention to detail is amazing . The rooms are beautiful, the pool at the back is calm and the sunbeds secluded . The breakfast is probably the best choice I have seen and it’s delicious. The floating pool at the front is great fun and it’s fabulous to be on the lake ! Lovely dinners each evening . The spa is fantastic, had a great signature treatment . And the infinity pool is wonderful . We hired a boat for a 3 hour trip & it was a great experience , our pilot had so much knowledge of the points of interest . Great gym also . Just a fantastic stay - will be back for sure

Hello — I recently stayed in room 601 and the king-sized down pillow was incredible. The manager mentioned it was a “Simmons” pillow. Could anyone share the exact model name or details (fill type, loft, size) of the Simmons pillow used in the rooms at Grand Hotel Tremezzo? I’d love to purchase a similar one for home. Much appreciated!

This was our second stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. The staff is very attentive and will always accomodate your wishes. We had a Prestige Garden Room and it was very quiet and comfortable. There are many amenities in the room that enhance the stay. Toiletries are excellent as is the housekeeping and turndown service. The breakfast buffet is the most amazing you will find anywhere in the world. We had lunch at T Pizza and Da Giacomo Al Lago and dinner at L'Escale. All were excellent. Again, the staff is exellent and the hotel is very romantic.

This is a stunning grand hotel, with amazing views, friendly staff, and very comfortable beds. I loved the various areas of the hotel to enjoy either a cocktail or a drink. There are two things that prevented our stay from being 5 star. The first is the use of cologne perfume throughout the hotel. I understand that Italy has a culture of heavy personal fragrances, but the entire hotel had a strong scent (I believe a signature perfume created just for the hotel), that permeated everything. My spouse and I both work in super high level restaurants in which the staff is forbidden to wear personal fragrance in an effort to ensure that the food & wine experience is experienced as intended. We went to the lakeside restaurant to grab a bite, and I ordered a bottle of water, and the water glass that was brought by the server wreaked of the cologne that the server was wearing. I had to request another glass. Also, the small face towels in the bathroom were also spritzed with cologne, so when I washed my face at night and tried to dry off with the towel, I was confronted with a face full of perfume. The other issue was the food quality. I would describe it as barely edible. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who has experienced the highest level of Michelin dining for an entire career so I really have high standards for cuisine, but still. Nothing tasted fresh or of high quality. The breakfast had a beautiful presentation, but again the product was generally subpar. Just to be clear on my priorities, while I enjoy the luxe life, I will always take a monastic hotel with excellent food over a posh hotel with average or below average food. I imagine there are tremendous logistical challenges that this area faces (most likely no nearby farmer's market that the Chef's can visit every morning), but I am always bummed when traveling not to be able to get a decent meal.

The hotel is the perfect blend of sophistication and warmth – combining five-star quality with genuinely friendly, attentive service. The design of the hotel is stunning, with a traditional elegance that perfectly complements the beauty of Lake Como. Every space feels thoughtfully curated and in harmony with its surroundings. A true highlight of our stay was the T Spa. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional, creating a calm and luxurious experience from start to finish. We enjoyed a couple’s massage in a private room, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a place where every detail is taken care of with grace and care. We left feeling completely relaxed and already looking forward to returning. An unforgettable experience
