Chatrium Grand Bangkok

Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it for families traveling with children! There's a free minibar every day, and the outdoor pool is clean and uncrowded. The accompanying kids' club is small but enough for children to burn off some energy. The breakfast buffet isn't particularly lavish, with limited options, but the freshly made Thai tea is delicious and a must-have every morning. The room size is relatively small, and with a lot of luggage, it can feel a bit cramped. Everything else was great; the staff provided excellent emotional support and attentive service. There's a shuttle bus at the entrance that takes you to the back door of Paragon, though it's only a 3-minute walk. It's also very close to a 7-Eleven; just turn left and walk straight to the end of the street, which is very convenient.

Great location and excellent service. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! The breakfast was good, but didn't change much day-to-day. If you're staying for several days, you might consider not booking breakfast every day. There's a shuttle bus to a nearby mall, which is very convenient and runs frequently.

Traffic was quite heavy in the evening. We took a taxi from the airport at 6:14 PM and arrived at the hotel at 7:38 PM to check in. The front desk staff was very welcoming. Initially, they mentioned upgrading us to a room on the 29th floor, but then said they couldn't due to some 'personal authorization' issue. We were eventually assigned room 1903 in building 2, which they said offered a better view and beautiful scenery outside the window. The Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok boasts a modern integrated phone and speaker system in the rooms. The hotel provided complimentary desserts and a small birthday cake. The desserts were a bit too sweet, but the birthday cake tasted good, and we were quite hungry at that moment. For dinner, we took the hotel's shuttle bus to a restaurant in the nearby Paragon Mall. The hotel shuttle operates until 10:00 PM, and since we finished dinner past that time, we just walked back to the hotel, which was only a short stroll. We woke up early the next morning and, upon opening the curtains, indeed found a beautiful view outside, including a river. Breakfast was quite extensive, though not many items particularly suited my taste. However, the papaya and rose apples from the fruit selection, the green steamed dumplings, and the Thai milk tea were all very good. The hotel staff are all very enthusiastic, and some even speak Chinese. The hotel's location is convenient for going out, but returning to the hotel can be a bit of a hassle due to ongoing road construction nearby, causing significant traffic delays.

I was choosing between this hotel and The Standard. A week before checking in, I decided on Chatrium Grand Bangkok and I haven't regretted it once. The staff are incredibly friendly, always helpful, and ready to answer any questions. The view from the room was splendid, the room itself was clean, with crisp white, soft linens, a wonderful bed, and lovely shower gels and lotion. Upon check-in, I received a complimentary gift of delicious candies, and at check-out, even more delicious macarons! Housekeeping was top-notch. In the evenings, they even prepared the room for bedtime. Breakfasts were quite varied; everyone could find something to eat (juices, coffee, vitamin shots, very tasty pastries, 6 or 7 ways to prepare eggs, vegetables, salads, yogurts…). I had a night flight, and the hotel staff allowed me to use the pool, fitness center, and showers even after check-out. If I'm ever in Bangkok again, I will definitely choose this hotel. It truly captured my heart! ♥️🥰
