The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort

A beautiful hotel! It was just a shame about the weather on the day of my stay, as it was very windy and rough. I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I get the chance.

This hotel isn't ideal if you're on a tight schedule or looking for a budget-friendly option, but it's absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. You have the choice of self or valet parking. The sunset at Hapuna Beach is breathtaking, with the entire coastline visible. The hotel offers a good range of restaurants, from affordable to high-end, which is quite reasonable.

We were upgraded to a suite, and the sofa in the living room pulled out into a comfortable bed, which was perfect for our child. The suite also had a faucet with drinkable hot water, which was incredibly convenient for us Asians who enjoy tea. The hotel offers a free laundry room, making it easy to wash clothes daily, and the housekeeping staff were very efficient. Overall, a very good stay.

Lots of mosquitoes and the hotel facilities are quite old. The overall experience was okay, but there were countless small bugs in the room.

This is my second stay at this hotel, the first being during the Chinese New Year in 2024. I'll skip the pleasantries and get straight to it: this time was quite disappointing. I booked a sea-view twin room for 4 nights, and at several thousand yuan a night, it wasn't cheap. However, the shower was uncomfortable every evening. There was no hot water at all, and I had to let the cold water run for at least ten minutes before it slowly started to warm up. Plus, the water pressure was very low, which was really unpleasant. I couldn't wait to check out before leaving this review. I hope my feedback is helpful to others.
