I absolutely loved my stay at Central Old Town Cottage in Bangkok. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by the soothing sounds of music from a vintage record player and immersed in the stunning retro decor, featuring tons of camera and film art that sets a nostalgic, creative vibe. The entire experience here is truly unforgettable.
Upon check-in, the staff immediately asks about your breakfast preferences, and let me tell you—the options are plentiful and incredibly delicious. You'll leave feeling completely satisfied and energized for the day ahead, with high-quality dishes that go above and beyond typical hotel fare.
We booked the Loft Theatre Triple Room on the top floor, which came with a projector for movie nights and even a gaming setup. The decor evoked a classic movie theater, complete with a luxurious clawfoot bathtub for ultimate relaxation. The beds are located upstairs in a split-level layout, making it spacious enough for up to four people theoretically (though it's perfect for couples). Streaming services like Netflix are available on the projector, and the complimentary drinks in the mini-bar added a thoughtful touch.
The service was nothing short of exceptional. When my wife requested a beer and coffee, the staff promptly delivered them to our room, along with some complimentary peanuts as a snack. I cannot overstate how friendly and accommodating everyone was—from the warm welcome to the personalized attention throughout our stay. It's clear this family-run gem prioritizes guest comfort.
Conveniently located just down the street from the vibrant Khao San Road and within easy walking distance of iconic sites like the Grand Palace, it's an ideal base for exploring Bangkok's old town.
If you're planning a romantic getaway, book this hotel without hesitation—it's perfect for couples, and I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to Thailand!
