I stayed at two hotels in Chiang Mai this trip, Wanda and Marriott. Comparing them, I could clearly feel that Marriott had a quieter, more orderly overall atmosphere and guest demeanor. During my stay at Wanda, I encountered some Chinese guests being quite noisy in public areas, even expressing emotional remarks like "Chinese brands should prioritize Chinese guests." Honestly, it was a bit awkward to hear. When traveling, everyone represents their own country, and I hope that no matter which hotel or brand we stay at, we can all show a little more restraint and respect to make the overall environment more comfortable. My personal stay experience exceeded expectations, giving it full marks. The environment is excellent, the atmosphere is comfortable, the decor is distinctive, the details are well-executed, the management is attentive, and it's great value for money. The only minor drawback is that the hotel's location is a bit far from the Old City, making transportation less convenient. However, it's a 15-minute taxi ride, which is still acceptable. The rooms are all made of wood, so the soundproofing is very poor. You can hear everything happening upstairs, including the... (ahem) 'activities'.

Seriously, avoid this Wanda at all costs – it's a total disaster. Chiang Mai isn't that big, so you definitely want to stay in the city center for convenience. When I booked, I saw 'resort' and thought it would be a proper holiday hotel, but the yard was tiny. If I had to pick one good thing, it's that the entire property is made of solid wood. Everything else was awful.

It's a bit remote and inconvenient. It's okay if you just plan to stay in your room... The hotel facilities are complete. It's just a hassle to get around.
