Diana is a very kind host. She'll take you to and from the nature park and airport for a small fee. The dining area at the homestay has a beautiful view of the river. We stayed in a spacious room for two. We had a wonderful stay in Mulu!

When checking into the hotel, be sure to request a transfer from Diana; there will be no taxis near the airport upon arrival. The hotel is about 2 km from the airport. The rooms have only beds, a toilet, and a shower with cold water! The toilet flush didn't work. You must bring your own toiletries. There is no air conditioning, so it can be very stuffy. Diana is a delicious cook, so we dined with her. The terrace offers a wonderful view of the river and jungle; it's a great place to sit and relax after a long walk through the park and caves. Diana provides transportation to and from the park. Overall, if you just need a place to sleep with minimal amenities, this is fine. For more comfortable accommodation, it's better to stay in the park.

The toilet seat needs to be updated. There's no hot water in the shower. The room doesn't have air conditioning, but there's an electric fan or ceiling fan. The fan makes a noise. It's hot and stuffy during the day, but fortunately it's not too hot when you sleep.
