The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas

This hotel is a complete dump. There were so many people trying to check in. I received an email saying I could check in online, which I did. But when I went to pick up my room card, the staff member circled a spot on the map that was in the main building. It took me over 30 minutes of going back and forth to finally find the room, only to be told that the spot circled on my room card was wrong and my room number was in a different building. By this point, I was completely disoriented and exhausted. When I finally got to the room, it was a corner room, definitely not a 'deluxe room' as advertised – it was absolutely awful. But my child was too tired to move, so we just made do. After thinking about it, I'm pretty sure the front desk intentionally circled the wrong building on the map to make us dizzy and tired, and they knew they were giving us a corner room. They probably wanted us to be too exhausted to bother asking for a change. What else could they be doing? How could they not know the room's building number? Absolutely terrible!

Everything else was fine, but the facilities are a bit old. The shower faucet was a bit stiff to turn, and the shower door made a squeaky sound when opened.

This hotel is huge, with plenty of shops, and the 'Ruyi Noodle House' offers great Chinese food. There's a direct indoor walkway to The Sphere, which is super convenient. Parking is $20 per day.

The room is spacious and clean, with two refrigerators – one for paid items and another empty one for your own drinks. There's a 24-hour Walgreens nearby. You can access the Sphere directly from inside the hotel. The Szechuan beef noodles at Asia Noodle are very authentic. The 4th-floor pool is large, and there's also a pool garden on the 10th floor, where the evening lights illuminating the sculptures create a very European vibe. Soaking in the jacuzzi with the night breeze blowing is incredibly relaxing. If you're taking an Antelope Canyon day tour, the tour operator will pick you up and drop you off at the hotel.

LV's hotel is nowhere near as good as Macau's. Let me describe what this 5-star hotel is like: I booked a newly renovated luxury city view room, and the photos showed it to be very luxurious with city views, so I had high expectations. Secondly, there are traps everywhere. The mini-bar water and snacks cost money, and there's no signage! My child accidentally opened a small bottle of mineral water and three mini-snacks, which cost $58 USD. There are two refrigerators; whatever you do, don't touch one of them, as even a slight movement will be sensed and added to your bill. Resort fees are a given, and definitely don't upgrade arbitrarily. As for hygiene, in one of our rooms, when we checked in, there were razor shavings left by the previous guest in the bathroom basin. The toilet paper was placed on the vanity, and the pillow had black stains, so the attention to detail was severely lacking. Overall, it felt inferior to a four-star hotel in China. It's old, stingy, and full of hidden costs.
