We absolutely loved it here ! Can’t wait to go back. As my husband said it was elevated like a hotel room IN the woods. The perfect balance of rustic and polished. We came here for a milestone birthday and enjoyed all of its the coziness, the fireplace, the delivery of coffee and pastries, the bikes to use on and off property, the spa and Earth their onsite restaurant - all AMAZING. Ps we Did a cocktail making class so fun! (The bartender at Earth - Patrick is wonderful!)

What a wonderful place Hidden Pond is for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! The cottages are comfortable and in a beautiful setting. The beds are the best! We had two cottages (there were 8 of us), Lazy Days and Hummingbird. We even called back to ask what type mattresses are on the beds because we slept to good. The bon fire and s'mores every night was so fun! The staff was excellent and always helpful. All around it's a great place to stay and we highly recommend it. We look forward to returning for another trip!

We were invited to join friends for a stay at Hidden Pond. This place is a gem! I nearly broke my neck looking at all the cottages when we drove around upon arrival. The four of us stayed at the Stargazer which was beautifully decorated. Upon arrival we had a welcome basket on the dining table. The only negative is the a/c units in the bedrooms were loud. We picked out our bikes (many to choose from) and biked to pick vegetables in the garden for our evening meal. We did lose power in one of the bedrooms one night but thankfully I had looked in every nook and cranny when we first arrived and knew where the electrical panel was.

Hidden Pond is a great place for a relaxing get-away from your high stress life. We stayed in a one room bungaloo near the serenity pool and Earth restaurant. Great bed, bathroom, outdoor shower and screened in porch. Breakfast is included and delivered to your bungaloe by 8am. Fresh coffee. Milk, juice yogurt and jam in the fridge. The Earth retaurant is a locavores dream. After dinner the firepit is a great place to hangout. The other properties are also very nice. You can go to Gooseneck Beach and get towels, chairs and umbrella.

We booked our stay here through Inspirato and stayed in Unit 23, a one-bedroom with a screened sunporch. The room itself was very comfortable, toasty warm, and has a delightful gas fireplace across from the bed. The bathroom features a well sized custom shower and has a separate heating unit. Parking is immediately outside the unit so is quite convenient. 23 is a quick walk from the main lodge and a slightly longer walk to the restaurant. The room has a refrigerator which is kept stocked with water, orange juice, and yogurt. Fresh pastries are delivered to the room with a thermos of coffee each morning. A campfire is lit each evening by the lodge and is well supplied with marshmallows, Hershey bars, and graham crackers for make-your-own s'mores. The sunroom has a daybed and was very comfortable for daytime lounging. Note that 23, along with several other cottages, are backed against the internal road leading to the restaurant, so there tends to be significant traffic here, with carts and occasional trucks (delivering to the restaurant, I suspect) through the day. This is noticeable only if you leave the door to the sunporch open, or if you're sitting on the porch. The rest of the facility tends to be quiet and peaceful at all hours. I might suggest upgrading the golf carts that staff use to go back and forth among the cottages to electric rather than gas, if only to quiet things down further. The refrigerator in our unit was large enough to be used for additional items that we purchased at the nearby Hannafords. It had a tendency to have a high pitched whistle when running, but this was clearly not a malfunction but rather just a vote that I'd get a different brand fridge next time were it up to me. We turned off the fridge at night to keep the room quiet, and we were fine with that solution. We appreciated not being nickel-and-dimed on everything. I've stayed at a few locations where there's an extra charge if you want s'mores by the campfire, an extra charge for orange juice in the refrigerator, an extra charge if you want the fresh morning pastries....it gets old quickly, and the approach here at Hidden Pond is much better. We found staff overall to be helpful and supportive and would definitely return in the future.

Positives: -- Gorgeous room in a beautiful setting. Lots of privacy -- a feeling like we were alone on the property. -- Excellent service, with the staff responding quickly to requests. We had a minor emergency, and there was an immediate response -- particularly impressive given how spread apart the units are. -- Great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals at Earth and at Tides Beach Club. -- The beach! Goose Rocks Beach is incredible, and it was such a treat to have beach chairs and umbrellas set up for us. Not so positive: -- This is not the place for you if you're hoping to hang out at the bar and have a great cocktail before dinner, at least on the main property. There's effectively no bar in the Earth restaurant -- and no bartender (the waitstaff mixes their own cocktails, oddly). The pool bars are minimal -- canned only at one, and with an inexperienced bartender at the other. -- The pools seemed a little sad -- little leaf-filled when we were there. And the restaurant sets up dinner tables around the adult pool, so it can feel a little odd sitting there in the late afternoon.

Unfortunately our trip did not get off to a great start. We were greeted at the front desk with a certain disdain for our early evening arrival. We don’t want to harp on the employee but she seemed to not want to have been there. The next morning we turned on the shower to heat up and briefly stepped away only to get in and for the water to be ice cold. When we asked for someone to come assess the issue we were told they would “come double check “ as if we made it up. When they came we were told there is not “unlimited hot water.” We maybe had the water on for 10 minutes total. There was also an ongoing granola debacle wherein we inquired about the complimentary granola that was missing from the room and were promised multiple times that it would be restocked to no avail. Then told they “ran out.” The night before we were leaving they brought two giant containers of granola and yogurt that there was no way we could have eaten. The whole thing felt like a Curb your Enthusiasm bit in the end. We did however love our meal at Earth!! So delicious! All in all it felt like a resort run by people who do not care about hospitality, but for this price it just doesn’t add up.

Absolutely heavenly. The forest is beautiful and like looking into a magical world. There are free bicycles, a heated family pool and adult only pool, fabulous restaurant, attentive staff, concierge to help you select everything from white water rafting, to skim boarding, to zip lining, moose safaris and historic ghost tours or fine or casual dining options. Best of all there is privacy and a sense of space and a luxury experience in nature. There are also lovely dark night skies where you can actually see the stars, bonfires and s’mores. We watched a beaver working hard to build his dam and saw the season’s first fiddlehead ferns. We will be back!
