Yangshuo Li river resort

Yangshuo Li River resort was brilliant. They organised pick up from the train at low cost. Our room was huge & had a private yard with a fabulous view of the river. We stayed 6 nights & ate in the restaurant exclusively because the food was amazing & well priced with a very wide variety to choose from. The resort is close to West street & all attractions. The pool is fantastic - clean, cool & large. The staff were all so respectful & helpful & all spoke English. There is a great onsite gym as well. We can’t recommend this resort highly enough & will definitely be back.

This was a lovely hotel. We are a family of 3, we stayed for 1 night. We would have happily stayed longer. The only room available was a forest room. The rooms are exactly as on the website and are lovely. If a river view is available I would book that, but we would stay again if forest view was the only option. The food and drinks were very good and we ate all of our meals there. The pool was lovely. You could bring food & drinks to the pool. There was a small gym. There was a shop with nice items to purchase. It took about 20 minutes to walk to the town. It was on a road nice to walk during the day when it was bright by the river but I think I would take a taxi or didi at night time. Yangshou had lots of shops, markets, restaurants we were only there for 1 night. We could have stayed longer. We did the 4 star boat trip ftom Guilin to Yangshou and would really recommend this trip. It was beautiful. You can see the Li River Hotel when you are coming in on the boat. The staff were so kind at this hotel. We got some washing done for a small fee. Our son lost a teddy bear at the previous hotel and the lady gave him a panda bear at this hotel as a gift. We would love to stay again and would really recommend this hotel to anyone.

Thanks to Li river resort for a wonderful stay. Although the hotel is a bit outdated we have enjoyed our room, the service and the food. Unfortunately couldn’t use the pool because of the rain. One of the best things of the hotel is friendly, cooperative English speaking staff that made our experience smooth and pleasant. The staff had prepared a birthday cake for us in advance, it was very nice and besides they helped us to book a private day tour. We hope to come back again.

★★★★★ I had an excellent stay at Li River Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yangshuo. The location is fantastic if you are looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat. The resort is situated about 1.6 km from West Street, far enough away from the crowds and noise to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, yet still close enough to reach the town easily. One of the highlights of my stay was the swimming pool. The view of the surrounding karst mountains is absolutely stunning and creates a truly relaxing atmosphere. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very reasonably priced. I also appreciated the traditional Chinese design and style of the property, which gave the resort a unique character and sense of place. What impressed me most, however, was the staff. Their English was excellent, which made communication effortless. They were always friendly, professional and extremely helpful when it came to planning excursions and activities. What I particularly appreciated was that I never felt pressured into booking anything through the hotel. The staff were happy to explain different options, recommend attractions and suggest where to book activities such as bamboo raft trips, but it felt like genuine travel advice rather than a sales pitch. This honest and personalised approach was refreshing and greatly appreciated. As an independent traveller who is comfortable using local apps such as Alipay and Didi, I found this hotel to be the perfect base for exploring Yangshuo and the surrounding area. Excellent value for money, beautiful surroundings, wonderful staff and a truly relaxing atmosphere. A well-deserved five-star review.

We loved our stay at Li River resort and wish we had more time to stay longer. The location and peaceful nature surroundings are superb, and the staff are excellent. We felt so welcomed always. The restaurant onsite is great and we are jealous we didn’t get to experience the rooftop in full service (not open yet). The views from the roof and the setup are great. We were here during golden week, and the staff helped find us transportation in the midst of the craziness so we still had a full experience of the area. We hope to be back someday!! We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Li River Resort. The service was first class and always friendly, the meals sensational and our room overlooking the river directly to the karst mountains was beyond all expectations. The setting - an easy walk or bike ride up a shady riverside road - was idyllic.
