This is an older hotel with dim lighting. The interior is just okay. The sofas are old and the edges are worn. I probably wouldn't consider staying there again. The surroundings are okay and not too far from the beach.

The hotel at 6000 yuan per night has no hot water. This was our first time coming to LA . Have to say Out standing customer service beautiful amenities!! Out standing cocktails and food in lobby, Weather was perfect! Close to everything with in walking distance.. the grounds nice and cozy and Safe!! .. Rooms nice and clean and fresh. Balcony off your room facing the pier was perfect for sunsets and nice early morning coffee out your room. Nice and quiet .To enjoy a conversation on balcony. . I had 2 rooms for our family and the value was right in my budget, plus the location. Was absolutely perfect!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience had everything there . Thank you for having us !! We will make this location a MUST Return!! And we can’t wait to come back and enjoy all that we missed . Also I have to Honorary mention the guys out at the front .. Matthew , Adan, Antonio for there outstanding help with our bags and hot spots on where to go !! And Matthew for his knowledge and guidance on key locations to go and check out as well the whole staff was great from moment of check in to when we left!!

Avoid this hotel on weekends at all costs! At 3 pm I wait online with 9 other people for 20 minutes to check in to find out room not ready, or should say rooms not ready also for everyone else. Then charged $82 for valet parking bc I have to valet park my car bc my room is not ready and don’t want to drive around looking for street parking while waiting for room. At 4:30 I get a $100 incidental charge on my Amex but no call to say room is ready. Came for beautiful beach weekend at iconic Santa Monica hotel. Asleep and keep waking up to Bungalow Bar below me blasting … blasting music. No warning at check in . I call desk to find out bar open until 2 am.. more important for corporate to make profit off alcohol patrons at street bar than $600 night hotel guests staying here! What a joke. Never again.

Everything was perfect. The location is just right for the beach, restaurants, Convenience Stores and parking if you don’t use the crazy $70 US daily hotel parking charge! Staff everywhere were friendly and helpful. Pool a little small but plenty of excellent loungers and endless towels on offer laid out by pool staff. Unfortunately they allow children in the Jacuzzi which they used as a hot play SCREAMING area throughout our 4 days stay with parents too busy taking in either food, drinks or the sun to take any notice Rooms are big and everything to hand with a lovely bed, Robes and a fabulous view of the beach
