Wonderful experience at the Hob Knob! * The staff is so friendly and helpful, they really made our stay special. Jackson had great suggestions for dinner every night. Abby is so sweet and helpful. The kitchen staff is really nice. They make every effort to make your stay a great one. * The room was very clean. The bed was super comfortable. I liked the tasteful furnishings. I was especially charmed that there was a divan in our room. * The beautifully renovated location is very quiet, which was perfect for us. * We appreciated that breakfast is included in the stay. Your choice of eggs, breakfast meat, fresh fruit, various breads, and sometimes fresh scones. Also there are various treats and tea put out from 3-5, which is a nice touch. * Extra convenient location, it's within easy walking distance to all the restaurants and shopping in downtown Edgartown. Also the harbor is just a short walk in that same direction. * All around a fantastic place to stay, we can’t recommend it highly enough.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Hob Knob. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every detail was exceptional. Walking through the front door feels less like checking into a hotel and more like arriving at your own beautiful home in the heart of Edgartown. We were welcomed by the warm, attentive staff with delicious homemade baked goods and refreshing fresh lemonade, immediately making us feel at home. The rooms are beautifully designed, blending timeless New England charm with elegant, whimsical touches. Our room was incredibly spacious and thoughtfully appointed, complete with a charming kitchenette that made it feel as though we had the house all to ourselves. My dog is like my child, so he travels everywhere with me, and I especially appreciated how pet-friendly the Hob Knob is. The adorable dog-themed lamps added a fun touch, and my pup was thrilled to find Milk-Bones waiting for him in the room. Every detail reflected genuine thought and care, from the luxurious Frette linens to the Molton Brown toiletries. Nothing felt overlooked. The location is perfect—just a short walk to all the wonderful shops, restaurants, and charm of Main Street in Edgartown. At the same time, having an on-site parking lot made it easy to explore the rest of Martha’s Vineyard by car. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, and by the end of our stay, we found ourselves wishing we had booked a few more nights. The Hob Knob offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and hospitality, and I can’t wait to return.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hob Knob! I couldn't have been more impressed by the hotel's charm or the genuine kindness and hospitality of the staff. Abby, the General Manager, went above and beyond to accommodate both me and my team throughout our week-long stay, making us feel incredibly welcome from start to finish. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and thoughtfully designed for longer stays, with ample storage, a dresser, an iron, a cozy sitting area, and everything we needed to feel at home. The location was another standout—it was just a short 5–10 minute walk to downtown Edgartown, allowing us to enjoy all the restaurants, shops, and waterfront while still being tucked away in a peaceful, relaxing setting. Each morning, we looked forward to the delicious breakfast, and the daily afternoon tea service was such a lovely touch that made the experience feel even more special. I truly can't wait to return to Martha's Vineyard, and when I do, there's no question that I'll be staying at Hob Knob again!

Let me start off with the bad things first: the housekeeping staff needs supervision and training. Our room wasn't made up one day (which was fine -- these things happen), and the next, housekeeping neglected to leave us toilet paper and when we got into our bed that night, the sheets hadn't been smoothed out and they were bunched up and coming off the bed. This shouldn't happen -- but because the Hob Knob is such a lovely property and because the hotel manager and assistant manager are so helpful and charming, our attitude was "Who cares?" The Hob Knob is a homey, sophisticated property that's unpretentious and welcoming. Our room on the 3rd floor was light and bright and happy -- which made us happy. Abby and Jackson are a delight and will do anything for you -- all you have to do is ask. I would stay here a again without a second thought. Bravo!

A stay at the Hob Knob is a lovely experience. New England charm, beautiful rooms, with a welcoming ambiance and staff. Breakfast on the porch or in the garden begins with just-made scones. Location is ideal—quiet and serene, yet only a short walk into downtown Edgartown shops and waterfront. Hoping to return soon!

I just spent a long weekend at Hobnob, my first visit to Martha’s Vineyard, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I checked in, Abby at the front desk made me feel right at home with her warm hospitality and genuine kindness. Her welcome set the tone for what turned into an unforgettable stay. The property itself is adorable and quaint, with a perfect location that’s hard to beat. It’s easy to walk to Edgartown’s downtown area—just a few blocks to amazing restaurants, cozy bars, coffee shops, bookstores, and charming shops. The rooms are decorated beautifully and feel thoughtfully curated, with colors and decor that are cozy and inviting. The beds were incredibly comfortable!! But the real standout was the staff. Everyone seemed genuinely dedicated to making our weekend special. The breakfast each morning was fantastic—fresh, tasty, and a great way to start our days. On one beach day, the hotel went above and beyond by packing us scones and water bottles, which was such a thoughtful touch. Another fantastic amenity is the beach gear Hobnob offers—chairs, umbrellas, and coolers available for borrow. It made our beach days effortless and enjoyable without the extra hassle of renting gear or bringing it from home. If you’re considering a stay on Martha’s Vineyard, I highly recommend Hobnob. It feels like a home away from home, with a touch of luxury and a lot of heart. I’m already planning my next visit and can’t imagine staying anywhere else—the staff truly treats you like family, and I’m so grateful for my stay. You’ll want to come back too.

Great boutique bed and breakfast in a quiet part of town. It is a beautiful hotel/bed and breakfast which is in easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and the wharf. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The hotel has plenty of quiet spots to retreat to when you want to rest up during the day. The wrap around porch is well appointed with comfortable furniture and beautiful flowers. The garden has plenty of outdoor seating also. We enjoyed going in May when we had the hotel to ourselves and were able to interact with the staff, which included the lovely ladies in the kitchen who made us our breakfast and delicious baked goods. Abby and Jackson are the best hosts! Our rooms were beautifully appointed and maintained daily which was a lovey treat to come home to at the end of the day. They had a spread of delicious snacks and baked goods and drinks available during the day to tide us over until dinner. We had a lovey time exploring Edgartown and then taking the free bus to the neighboring towns. We left our car on the mainland and took the passenger ferry to the island. No need for a taxi, you can grab the free bus at the dock and it will take you directly to Edgartown. Jackson hooked us up with the bus schedule and gave us recommendations for restaurants which was much appreciated. We really enjoyed being able to spend extra time talking with Jackson since the hotel was slow while we were there. We will definitely be back next May! We enjoyed the quietness of all the towns before all the crowds came in. We found the restaurant and shop owners to be very kind and friendly. Eileen and Joe
