Hotel Château de la Barbinière

Lovely grounds. Enjoyed chipping and putting. Staff were very nice. Good location.

It is our fourth time in la Barbinière. Really lovely hotel. Nice pool area. Nice restaurants. And nice rooms. Conveniently located for us going from Toulouse to Normandy. Our holiday starts in la Barbinière!

Beautiful and peaceful Beautiful grounds , wish we had tried the restaurants but didn’t have time. Room was spacious but air conditioning was very weak on a hot night . Otherwise the place was beautiful and peaceful.

Just a pity the restaurant wasn’t open e evening we were there.

It seems a bit unfinished. Minimal facilities, restaurant not open yet, and rooms in annexe have a temporary builder’s door.

Beautiful chateau a little bit out of the way, Main restaurant is very good, make reservations. Room was large and comfortable. Staff was helpful. No elevator on the top floor is problematic.

We like the quietness of the property and its location. Plenty of free parking. The staff is cery hardworking and very helpful.the two restaurants are very nice

In many ways the hoitel is better than the overall score I have given it. The main reasons for the low score: 1 - Our room on the groundfloor of the annexe had no sound insulation from the room above. ( woken at 1am to listen to loud voices and again at 6.15am. Every footstep above could be heard. 2 - The shower in this room was over a bath. The bath was 'plastic' and moved under my weight. Not what I would have expected in this class of hotel. What's wrong with a walk in shower? However, on the positives: - The staff were great. The Orangerie restaurant served superb food. The pool was great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The grounds are superb and the ambience is welcoming. A great place to stay if visiting Puy Du Fou.
