The Nai Harn

This hotel in Nai Harn isn't a traditional five-star establishment. Let me start with the downsides, though I wouldn't call them 'downsides' since a cliffside hotel can't realistically be built in a bustling downtown area. 1. **Location**: This hotel is situated halfway up a hill near Nai Harn beach, so you'll need to walk a bit uphill. It's best to avoid going out at night; when we took a taxi back to the hotel, there was a stretch of road with no streetlights. If you're a solo female traveler, it's probably best to stick to the hotel or just stroll around the beach area. 2. **Convenience**: The nearest 7-Eleven is about a 1.4 km walk, roughly 15-20 minutes away. The hotel's tuk-tuk can only take you to the beach, but honestly, it's only a 2-5 minute walk anyway. Regarding dining, I personally found the hotel's overall prices a bit high. If you're looking for better value for money, there's a street food stall called 'Dada' about 500 meters away that's pretty good. While it's a bit rustic being a roadside stall, their pad krapow (stir-fried basil) and fried chicken wings are delicious. On the brighter side, the breakfast at Nai Harn hotel is decent. Their homemade Thai milk tea is tasty, and the other cooked items are good, especially their homemade meatballs. I booked this hotel about a month in advance for around 1600 (currency not specified, assuming local). I'd find it more acceptable if the price was in the 1000-1200 range, but at 1600, I personally feel it's a bit overpriced.

The room was okay, service was okay, but the price felt a bit high compared to what you get. It would have been perfect if it had its own private beach! I just felt like something was missing! Overall, I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

Perhaps, like some hotels in Phuket, they need to install 24/7 dehumidifiers. However, for a hotel that seems to be in a continuous decline, this might be too heavy an investment. 2. It's quite contradictory. The arrogant attitude of the hotel staff seems to suggest they have no shortage of guests. Yet, in various small details, they desperately try to 'cut costs' and 'maximize revenue' – for instance, by hiding complimentary services as much as possible. This urgently signals that they are 'extremely short on cash.' These small details include, but are not limited to: a收费 mini-bar, and a special warning that if you open the balcony door for more than two minutes, the air conditioning will automatically shut off (they could at least use an excuse like worrying about mosquito bites, but it seems they don't even bother to pretend – I'm not sure if I should applaud this honesty!). Then there's the paid Wi-Fi with different speeds (it's easy to select the wrong one, so be careful). Services they seem to hope guests won't use include, but are not limited to: complimentary tuk-tuk rides, free beach chairs, and surfing equipment rentals. If you do use them, the staff, especially the supervisors who treat the hotel as their own home, might give you the cold shoulder. But then again, this is probably exactly the kind of employee the hotel owner desires. 3. While the breakfast offered a wide variety, the taste was very mediocre; nothing stood out as memorable. Although the hotel is by the sea, the view isn't so exceptional that it can compensate for the issues mentioned above. In summary, the hotel consistently demonstrates a business philosophy of 'only wanting money, not putting in effort.' This is evident even in the hotel's replies to every review, which are more robotic and meaningless than AI-generated responses. Overall, the experience was just so-so.

This hotel is simply luxurious! It's one of those cases where the price perfectly matches the quality. Let me start with the most important thing: the amazing breakfast – a huge selection, everything fresh and very delicious. The room is very cozy, and the pillows are a special kind of relaxation, soft and comfortable; I slept wonderfully. I must also mention the gym: great equipment, all new, everything you need for a full workout with a view of palm trees and my favorite Nai Harn beach. But the main jewel of the service is the beach butler! Very attentive and caring, constantly ensuring comfort, and very smiley. You truly feel like a valued guest who is well taken care of. I stayed at this hotel a year ago. I will definitely be back here many more times.

Overall, it's pretty good. The breakfast is decent, it's very close to the beach, and the view is beautiful. The beach is clean, with fine sand, and there are surfing instructors. The key is that it's quite shallow, perfect for kids. The service is also good, quite friendly and attentive. You can lie on the balcony outside the room and watch the sea, which is very comfortable. Transportation is a bit inconvenient; there are no convenience stores within walking distance. Another minor drawback is the stairs, which make carrying luggage a bit difficult. Overall, it's very good, and my family is quite satisfied.
