Comfort Inn & Suites West - Medical Center

First time staying there.  Location was good for us.  Easy route to visit family from the hotel.  We did a 3 night stay.  Didn’t deal with much service, but the desk attendants were very nice.  Room was adequate and quiet.

Breakfast options were great. More tables for 4 would be nice, most were for 2 unless you move tables around. We had a suite and it was plenty big for our needs. There is a grab bar to get into the shower but one anything to hold onto once in the shower, this makes it dangerous for a disabled person. This stay we also had loud upstairs neighbors that sounded like a herd of watet buffalo above us waking us up super early. Will still stay over and over for Mayo trips!

Staff sit a desk watching cell phone videos while customer stands there waiting. Pool and spa were closed, was not on website as being closed. Maintenance request not handled, had to switch rooms for the hotels convince. Which meant packing andnun packing again.

The hotel is VERY clean and quiet. The staff was professional and positive. Wren was awesome and checked me in and answered my questions about the area (where to eat etc.) The location is in a nice spot with restaurants, grocery stores, etc. all around. The shuttle to Mayo is very convenient and the van is clean and the driver is polite. I will ABSOLUTELY stay here again because of the quiet, the clean rooms and the excellent staff.

The pool was out of service with no notice. The toilet seat was broken. The shower leaked. The staff was not very knowledgeable upon check-in. The manager was hard to contact about reserving the conference room. Multiple messages left with no response until two days before we arrived for our 4 night stay.

At check-in I was informed the pool and hot tub were closed. Come to find the pool and hot tub have been closed for over a year! They did mention you could use the pool and hot tub across the parking lot. Not overly interested to walk across the parking lot in the winter. The TV is the room was malfunction the and dimming it the entire stay. Bkfst was weak, but that’s common.

During the rain side of the building was making a significant amount of noise throughout the night and did not allow me to sleep on my final night. The rain, gutters or something or extremely loud.

The beds were great, the staff was excellent and the location is surrounded with everything you need. Oh and the shuttle service excellent .. They serve a full breakfast one of the few hotels out there that’ll still serve your waffles. It was wonderful.

Used pull-out bed in the suite. Had to make it up myself. Breakfast was good, had enough choices for someone who can’t eat wheat grown in the U. S.
