Yawaragi-No-Sato Yadoya

The hotel offers guests the option to book private onsen sessions, which are fantastic. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the staff are polite and very helpful. Plus, there's a free welcome gift upon check-in.

This is a traditional Japanese ryokan. It's conveniently located close to Lake Kinrin and the main street attractions, and the surrounding area is quiet and comfortable. Every staff member at the ryokan was incredibly friendly, and guests even received a small welcome gift, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. The room had a separate wet and dry area, and the facilities were great, especially the smart toilet – a really nice feature, haha. They also offer wonderful hot spring baths within the ryokan. The common areas are spacious, with a kids' play area and free massage chairs – truly excellent!

The hotel staff were pleasant and welcoming. They have separate communal onsens for men and women, plus three private onsens that require advance booking (one 50-minute slot per room per day). This isn't super convenient, especially since you probably won't spend more than half an hour actually *in* the spring. However, you're allowed to wear a swimsuit in the private onsens if you prefer. The hotel building is quite a distance from the station, but it's close enough to the lake, which is definitely worth seeing if you're visiting Yufuin. On the ground floor, there are vending machines where you can grab snacks, just in case you get hungry late at night (the hotel closes after 12:30 AM).

There are three private open-air baths that can be reserved, and all three are fantastic. Enjoy stargazing in the evening and the sound of birds chirping in the morning – it's incredibly relaxing.

The location and private onsen were excellent. Service and breakfast were also very satisfying. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained, so it wasn't an issue at all. I would definitely revisit and recommend this place.

The location is great, close to Kinrin Lake, Yunotsubo Street, and the Floral Village, all within a 5-minute walk. However, it's about a 20-minute walk from Yufuin Station to the hotel, so taking a taxi is recommended for getting to and from the property.

This was my first time staying in Yufuin. The property was in great condition, and what I particularly loved was the wide variety of private outdoor family baths, all of which were spacious. We only opted for breakfast this time, skipping dinner, and the breakfast was excellent. I'd definitely love to try dinner if I get to stay here again in the future!

The location and service are excellent, I'm very satisfied. The facilities are a bit old, so it didn't feel particularly clean. However, the great location and service made up for it.
