Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Sanjo PREMIER

Extremely satisfied! The hotel staff's service attitude is excellent, I'm very pleased. This is my second stay here. I had a glass of lemon tea while checking in, which was absolutely delicious! I wanted to have more later but wasn't sure where to get it from. Guess I'll have to wait until my next stay, hahaha. The hotel also has washing machines on the first basement floor.

To sum it up, choosing this hotel was absolutely the right decision. The location was perfect. From Kansai Airport, I took the HARUKA train to Kyoto Station, then transferred to the Karasuma Line for three stops to Karasuma Oike Station. From Exit 5, I turned left at the small intersection 200 meters ahead, and there was the hotel. Walking straight east for 300 meters along the small street in front of the hotel's entrance led directly to one of the entrances of Nishiki Market. Taking a taxi from the hotel to Kyoto Station was about 3.5 km and cost 1400 JPY. This was perfectly acceptable for when you've bought a lot and your luggage is heavy, and you don't want to take the subway. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, and spacious. Being off the main road, the hotel was already quiet. More importantly, the hotel's restaurant area faced the street, while the lobby and guest rooms were set further back, completely isolating them from outside noise. The guest rooms were about 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. Spreading out two 30-inch suitcases was no problem at all. The only thing was that when you opened the curtains, there was another building's outer wall about a meter away, so there was no view – but that didn't bother me. The mattress on the large bed was a bit soft, but I slept very comfortably for both nights. Coming back from shopping in the evening and taking a bath was wonderfully relaxing. Breakfast was included in the room rate. In Japanese terms, it was 'Western style,' with a choice of a main dish, such as fried egg + bacon and vegetables, or borscht + bacon and vegetables. You could also help yourself to a variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, bread, etc., from the buffet. The taste was light, and it was perfect to eat before heading out for sightseeing in the morning. If breakfast wasn't included, it would be 3840 JPY per person, which is about 160 based on the current exchange rate. For Japan, that price isn't expensive. Personally, I found the hotel's location, service, and facilities to be excellent, slightly exceeding my expectations. It really depends on the price you book it for. Staying during the off-peak period after the summer holidays and before the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, two nights with breakfast cost less than 2100, which I'd even say was quite good value for money.

The location is excellent, just a three-minute walk from the metro station. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom has a separate shower and toilet. Right across from the hotel is the Culture Museum, which is housed in a beautiful old building itself. Downstairs, there are bars and restaurants with good food. Shin-Puh-Kan Hall and BAL are also within walking distance.

I stayed in Kyoto for a total of seven nights, and the hotel room was relatively spacious for Japan and very new. Check-in was at 3 PM and check-out at 12 PM, which was quite accommodating.

Great location, nice environment, very quiet. Definitely recommend! Haha.

The hotel's location is truly fantastic; you can pretty much walk everywhere. The room size was perfectly adequate, and a daily soak in the hotel's bath really helped unwind.
