Econo Lodge Cranston - Providence

This is a low price motel we used only because our furnace is bring replaced and we needed a warm place to sleep. Was a cold night and the door had cold sir blowing furiously under it into the room. I had to get one of the towels and tuck it under the door to stop it. Towels felt like sandpaper. Coffee maker a joke. It malfunctioned and spewed hot water all over the place. Did not like having to give a hundred dollar deposit. We are elderly and not likely to get drunk and rowdy.

The room was comfortable but the floors were very dirty and need to be washed.

The hotel is vey easyily accessible. It is situated right next to a a large shoppingcenter with various shops and restaurants. Plus, the city of Providence is only a 10 to 15 minute drive. Apart from that, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to stay, while visiting Providence, without breaking the bank.

Room was clean & in a great area, but reeked of cigarette smoke! The front desk had the nerve to make me pay $100 deposit in case I smoke or have a pet. I am burying my Father on Monday, and have to attend the service sick, because I am allergic to cigarette smoke. Only slept 3 hours with the ac on, to try to contain the smell. The front desk gave me room spray, but the can is broken & don’t spray. I wasn’t offered any accommodations, when I paid for a non-smoking room. I even took pics of cigarette burns on the blanket under the spread!

I reserved a king room and paid for it a couple of days before making the trip to Rhode Island. When I checked in, I was given a queen room and no effort was made to rectify the change even when I asked. The room was clean but there was only a desk chair in the room. The bathroom did not have any hooks or places to hang a towel or clothes for showering. I was disappointed in the experience of staying at the Econo Lodge.

Pretty much what you’d expect from a motel of this caliber. I will say it was a bit cleaner than expected.

The receptionist speaks to people rudely, and the cleaning staff didn't make both beds, they only made one.

Good experience for the price. Beds were very firm and restrooms were stocked with basic toiletries (lacked conditioners). Friendly enough staff and didn’t have any issues.

This was my first and last time at Econo Lodge. The lady at the front desk was unfriendly. The room stinked, the bathtub was so dirty. They switched the room. But the bathroom had mold and you could hear everything inside the room from the outside. This place is not good at all.
