Coco Grove Beach Resort, Siquijor Island

The public areas are fantastic, no complaints there. The beachside views are amazing, and you can catch a beautiful sunset. Snorkeling right off the beach is great – we saw lots of fish and even turtles. The water is a bit clearer closer to Coco Grove. The downside is that the rooms are really just mediocre, like a basic guesthouse. The water pressure is low, and hot water isn't always sufficient. Breakfast is pretty average too. In summary, it's worth a stay for the beach, snorkeling, and the public environment, but don't expect much from the rooms.

The hotel itself is quite beautiful. The front desk staff were very friendly and provided detailed information. If you need a pier transfer, email the hotel in advance, and they will arrange a car for you. They also handle return transfers to the pier very well. The room interior was a bit dated, and the breakfast, which was à la carte, was just average in my opinion. The public areas are spacious, and snorkeling can be done right in front of the hotel. We hired a dive guide for 300P an hour, and they charged an additional 200P for taking photos during the route. With the guide, we saw corals, clownfish, and turtles. However, it was during National Day, so it was very crowded. The guide rushed us ashore before our hour was up to attend to other guests. In the evening, we tried the hotel's spa for 1200P an hour. The ambiance was nice, and the experience was very good. It was much better than the spa at the BBC hotel in Bohol, which we visited later.

The best hotel I've stayed at in the Philippines. You can truly feel the warmth and hospitality of the staff, leaving me with wonderful memories. I stayed for 4 consecutive days and was quite reluctant to leave. I will definitely stay here again next time I have the chance. The only drawback is that the breakfast options are too limited.

Coco lives up to its reputation! I didn't find the hygiene conditions particularly bad, maybe because we were on a higher floor and didn't encounter any bugs. The room was quite spacious and very quiet! The sea was incredibly beautiful, and snorkeling was super affordable. The ecosystem was amazing!! I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

There might be small insects, but that's likely due to open windows or doors. **Service:** They offer a delicious welcome drink (watermelon juice) and free shuttle service (only to/from Siquijor pier). For other piers, there's a fee. You need to email them 2 days in advance to confirm pick-up. They can also help book boat tickets; staff will handle everything except for checked luggage procedures and fees, including changing your seat and calling out the terminal tax. Sometimes, if you're waiting for a long time for things like ticket purchases or luggage delivery to your room, remember to remind them as they might forget. The hotel can arrange a car for an island tour for 1800p/vehicle, or you can rent a scooter for 550p/day. **Facilities:** There's a dive center, a kids' club, a swimming pool, a bar, and a private beach.

I stayed here ten years ago, and the hotel facilities are definitely showing their age now. However, the unbeatable sea view and the BBQ atmosphere more than make up for it in terms of emotional value. The fire dance was truly spectacular and highly recommended.

This hotel is an absolute must-stay! It's got a massive beach, perfect for couples to spend a good two days just enjoying the hotel. There are three pools, plus free snorkeling. Girls who love taking photos will be in heaven here! Having breakfast by the beach in the morning with the breeze blowing is incredibly relaxing. Highly recommend!!!

Spent four nights at Coco Grove, experiencing a day as a local on Siquijor. One night in the Turtle room and three in the Sunset room – pretty impressive, wouldn't you say? Mornings were for snorkeling, afternoons for lounging on the beach. As dusk settled, after dinner, a stroll to spot various hermit crabs was a daily ritual. The only drawback was that the air conditioning was a bit old, and the Turtle room's small space hardly got any air.
