five6 Hotel Splendour

This is my second time booking this hotel. The first time, I stayed in a Superior King Room. This time, I chose a Deluxe King Room, but the cleanliness was much worse than before. The hotel didn't clean thoroughly in hard-to-see areas, and the gaps between the bed and cabinets should have been vacuumed.

This hotel offers great value for money. The rooms are clean and bright, and there's a water dispenser on every floor. Just remember that a S$100 deposit is required upon check-in (can be paid by card or cash). The only downside is that it's quite a distance from the MRT station, though it's much closer to a bus stop. However, there are many bus routes available from nearby bus stops that go to the city center. Plus, there's a 24-hour Mong Kok Dim Sum restaurant near the hotel that's absolutely delicious – highly recommended!

It was okay. The bed was big enough for a family of three. The only downside was that the shower area didn't have a curtain, so water splashed everywhere. The location is far from the subway station, so you need to use Grab or a taxi to get around.

Aside from being a ten-minute walk to the MRT station, taking nearly an hour to get to Sentosa (walking plus MRT), and the AC blowing directly on my head, there aren't many downsides. The cleanliness was decent, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. My child mentioned seeing ants in the bathroom, but I'm nearsighted so I didn't spot them. There are many eateries nearby, including the famous frog porridge. In the mornings, you can even see several crates of large, vibrant green, lively frogs displayed outside their shop. If you accidentally disturb them, they all jump around.

It's just an average hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. This room is perfect for a family.

The hotel met all our expectations and left us with a pleasant impression.

This hotel is located in Geylang, which is a rather unique area in Singapore. Whatever you do, don't stay in room 706! The air conditioning doesn't work, and there are ants... I'm beyond words.
