Paje Blu Boutique Hotel

I spent 10 days at this very zen boutique hotel and it was truly unforgettable. It’s perfectly located near all the must-see spots on the island. The staff were caring and attentioned, and every dish and cocktail was delicious—especially the Rainbow Paradise, which totally describes this place. The restaurant offers table service for breakfast (included), lunch and dinner, and the menu changed daily. My room was spacious with a magnificient view. Wifi coverage was ok, although sometimes the speed was low or you needed to logout and login again. Special thanks to Caroline, who acted as a true concierge and planned visits around my slight mobility issue, and to the driver who was impeccable and helpful without being intrusive. Prices felt very fair—great value for the money. Although I was a bit nervous for my first solo trip, everything ran smoothly and I left fully recharged. — Pawel

Best trip and hotel of my life !! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and very clean, the beach is 2 minutes walk, the city center very close, there is good wifi and good air conditionning. The staff is absolutely amazing, everyone was so kind and helpful for the activities and how to organize my trip in the best way! Thank you very much to all of you and I miss you all already! The food of the hotel was incredible, special mention to the fresh juices the best that i tasted in zanzibar! I recommend this hotel 100000% and I Will definitely come back :)

We have just returned from a relaxing 10 day break from this little oasis of calm and tranquility - Just the right kind of place to recharge your batteries. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and can’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. With only 12 rooms, the service is personal and almost tailor made to the your stay. The cocktails are especially good. This hotel is just one star away from gold standard - waiting over an hour for food for us was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because the food is all home made and perfectly fresh but a curse because it took so long to arrive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful boutique hotel. We would return in a heart beat.

Very good hotel if you like it a bit more quiet with less people. A great base to explore Paje and the rest of the island. The rooms were exceptional, with great ventilation and air conditioning. Food was very good quality, especially if you are fed up with the usual hotel buffets, only a la carte here which does take a while sometimes, but hey, we are in Africa. Talking about exceptional, the staff were next level, very friendly and alway helpful.

We had a lovely 5 night stay at this hotel. Staff were especially welcoming and helped us with whatever we needed. Rooms were spacious and clean. Wifi was good, but hot water didn't always last long. No tv, phone, or gym either. Located 5 minutes from Paje Beach and 10-20 minute walk from shops and restaurants in the town. We enjoyed having breakfast here, with the choice of menu items changing slightly every day (things like fruit, eggs, toast, bruschetta, pancake, beef/chicken sausage, mandazi, yoghurt). Restaurant service was quick. The hotel also have a very friendly chihuahua! Overall, it had what we needed and was good value for money.

When we arrived here we couldn’t imagine what was about to happen, but unfortunately, the incident we had here overshadowed everything. In our first night here, we experienced a theft inside our room, WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING who stole our goods which value a considerable amount of money. It was a shocking and deeply disappointing situation, moreover that the hotel is saying now that we are suspicious and we might had arrange this incident. We spent three days going back and forth to the police, trying to understand how this could happen in what’s supposed to be a secure hotel. When we asked the hotel to take responsibility or at least show some accountability, they did the unthinkable: they blamed us. We were even told that we staged the theft ourselves, which was both insulting and shocking. Even if we saw together with the manager of the hotel the footage from the security cameras, they suggested us to check with the neighbors because they were problematic in the past, we saw how the area of the hotel is not secure enough (even if our door from the room had a issue on the very first day, just one security guard who is mostly staying at the front gate, not enough security cameras, multiple spots where anyone from the outside can easily jump the fence or walk in unnoticed, especially at night), they did not took any responsibility of the incident. And they still don’t realize and acknowledge the gravity of the incident: what could have happened if we had woken up during the break-in. If the intruder had been armed — and we were face to face — things could have turned violent. It’s terrifying to think that our physical safety was at real risk while sleeping in a place we trusted to be secure. What made it worse wasn’t just the lack of security, but the complete lack of professionalism and empathy. We expected support — instead, we were treated with suspicion. Not just for my comfort, but for my safety. The fact that we are accused now that we are involved in this robbery is a thing I cannot express using words. I cannot give 0 stars, because otherwise I would. PS. My wife and I loved everything about the hotel. It's perfectly designed, we had our space as well as we were able to socialise with others. The hotel owner and staff are absolutely amazing. They treat every client with respect and they go out of their way to help. They treated us like family where we were so comfortable throughout our trip. Food is gorgeous and very tasty. Different varieties. This was the best holiday for us. Paje blu boutique hotel is the place to go

this hotel was amazing all staff were amazing nothing was a problem bar staff especially dale were superb rooms spotless and big size pool was really good cleaners spot on very quite and very personal really enjoyed our stay here 5 min walk to to the beach highly recommend the food was fantastic also very very good value for money
