Holiday Inn QUANZHOU DONGHAI by IHG

We chose this hotel for Chinese New Year's Eve, and it was truly excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable, and incredibly clean. Being on a high floor, we could even see fireworks across the entire city, which made for an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

The surrounding area is still under development with new buildings or construction sites, so it's not very mature or convenient. It's suitable for guests with a car, those looking for good value for money, or just passing through for a night. The hotel rooms are spacious, and all the amenities are in place.

The Donghai Holiday Hotel has no sea view rooms! No sea view rooms! I paid extra for a lake view room, and it was a street-facing lake view room! The noise was absolutely maddening! If there's street noise, why aren't the balcony windows soundproofed? My heart sank when the staff told me it was a lake view room at check-in. My dream of facing the sea was shattered. Why call it Donghai Holiday Hotel if there's no sea view? 😂 I only have myself to blame for not checking more carefully. As for the location, it's a 30-minute walk to the Binhai Park, which has a lovely view. If you walk west along Binhai Park, you can reach Zanhua Village. Other than that, it's just an industrial park nearby. Getting to the ancient city by taxi takes over half an hour! Very inconvenient.

We specifically booked this hotel, a bit far from the ancient city attractions, for the bunk beds our kids love. The room was incredibly spacious and bright, well-equipped, and the service was attentive. The only drawback was that the drinking glasses from the previous guest hadn't been cleaned, which significantly detracted from the experience. We also noticed a musty smell on the pillows, perhaps because the room hadn't been occupied for a while. However, after reporting it to the staff, they immediately addressed the issue and changed all the bedding. Overall, we were satisfied. Just a few more details need attention, and I hope things continue to improve!

Booked two rooms, and the service was excellent. They upgraded our rooms, which immediately made a great impression, haha. Parking was very convenient, and breakfast was plentiful. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

The core experience at this hotel was incredibly positive! The room was spotless, which was very reassuring, and the bedding had no strange odors. The most convenient feature was the robot delivery service: after ordering takeout or drinks, it would take the elevator directly to our door and call to notify us for pickup. The whole process was efficient and hassle-free, making it perfect for business trips.
