Waterfront on Glacier

Kyra was amazing. She made our trip one for the books! Located nicely between downtown and the airport. Very clean.

No soap in the shower. Restaurant not available and nothing close enough for that to make sense. No AC is in the room which I know is common in Alaska but still it was over 75° in my room and there was no screen on the window and people could easily have just climbed into the hotel room

This property has been remodeled and the use of varnished wood for shelves and decor is attractive. And it is nice to have kitchenette capacity. However there are some basic amenities that would be helpful, e.g. bedside lighting rather than just overhead lights, storage drawers or a dresser in the main part of the bedroom, and either an ice machine or ice cube trays for the freezer. On our first day the desk clerk gave my husband a bit of ice in a bag but on the second day said he had run out of it at the front desk. We travel and stay in a lot of hotels and at this price we'd hope to have a decent supply of ice.

This property was a total disappointment from the room location ( the sea view was very obstructed) to the condition of the facility. When I checked in, the clerk told me to take the stairs down and my room would be on the left. Imagine my surprise when I lugged 2 heavy suitcases down two flights of very dirty stairs to walk through a door into a parking lot I could have driven to. The room's exterior door was open to the parking. If the room had been cleaner ( no carpet sounds great but not when your white socks turn black) it might have improved the first impression but no such luck. The bed coverings were stained. There was some really cool accent lighting shown in the pictures but ours did not work ( we could see other rooms lit through the window) . Several black hairs were found in the bathroom. There was a very nice kitchen with cookware but the utensils were sparse ( no bowls, 1 plate). The blackout shades were a joke as there was a gap of light around the entire perimeter of the shade. Our room was the only one that did not have a screen on the window and it got up to 75 degrees for 3 days. Huge gap under the front door. Other than the location, there were no positives. We threw away our socks. I shelled out $3000 for 7 nights. I was screwed!!!!

The rooms were very nice The beds were very nice The mini kitchen was nice I didn't use the workout area but will when I go back

Under renovation, this property still needs a good amount of work. No hotel laundry room for guests. I paid extra for a "premium" room with washer/dryer and full kitchen. Rooms on the 100 level are motel style, not connected to the lobby and gym. Rooms had nice view of the water, but we were also next to a construction dumpster. Washer and dryer are small, and dryer takes forever to work. So don't expect to get a whole lot of laundry accomplished. Full kitchen with fridge, microwave, and stove. Had plates, cups, and pans, but I had to ask for silverware. No cooking utensils at all. Room also noisy, as it's next to Glacier Highway. No breakfast, just green tea and a bit of coffee and creamer. There used to be a hotel restaurant, but it's also under renovation. I found chunks of plaster in the room and in their hotel gym. Could have done a better job cleaning. This hotel had so much potential and great reviews online. I wanted to like it, but it was definitely overpriced for what I received.

The place is been renovated and a work in progress. Room was excellent but no ice machines or ice trays yet. We’re told that would be fixed. The view comes with road noise but worth it. Would stay again once renovations are completed.

Newly renovated hotel with a small gym area and a beautiful sea view. The building may still be under construction in some areas. The floors or walls seem a bit thin, as we could hear people walking nearby. The sea view was lovely, but because the hotel is close to the main road, there was quite a bit of traffic noise. Overall, the hotel has potential and we still enjoyed our stay.
