Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Nanshan

There are many beautiful sights nearby: shopping malls, Talent Park, Shenzhen Bay Park, and a stadium. It's so convenient for enjoying the night view and light shows. The facilities are perfect, and the accessible room was excellent – spacious, bright, and convenient. They even helped me dry a pair of pants and provided me with a heated plate of egg-fried rice, which was incredibly helpful.

The atrium is beautiful. The room aesthetics are great, and the architectural space is very elegant. The pool is a bit ordinary. Didn't really experience the service. The location is a bit off in the Houhai New Town, but the city views are pretty amazing. Very Shenzhen.

The hotel's location is great, very close to Shenzhen Bay MixC World, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Coast City is right downstairs with plenty of restaurants too. The hotel facilities are good, and the breakfast is plentiful.

The bathroom sink was clogged. I had originally booked for two nights, but instantly didn't want to stay for the second night, so I just canceled one. I couldn't even be bothered to call someone to fix it, especially for a five-star hotel. The mini-bar drinks were chargeable, and there were no tissues in the room, only a box from the toilet. The overall room facilities were very mediocre. Apart from the sea view (which wasn't a direct sea view, as all rooms are on the side) and the convenient shopping nearby, I wouldn't really recommend it. The service staff on the first floor and the front desk on the 43rd floor were decent. However, I was told that I needed to purchase something to sit in the 43rd-floor lobby, which is a bit low-class. The room rate wasn't cheap; are they really that short on a little extra income?

Ever since phase two of MixC opened, I've been wanting to visit, eat, and shop there, but I waited for the formaldehyde to dissipate first. I also wanted to take the kids for a weekend getaway. So, I chose the Marriott Shenzhen Nanshan. I've stayed at many Marriotts before, and while this one has been open for a while, its overall style is still quite appealing; it's not outdated. Getting from the parking lot to the room requires changing elevators three times, which is indeed quite complicated. The hotel lobby is on the 43rd floor. On a clear day, the high-altitude views and natural light are truly beautiful. Room Amenities: I booked an Executive Open Plan Suite. The room size was decent, and the layout was reasonable. However, some details in the room were lacking. For example, the showerhead was twisted by the pipe and couldn't be positioned correctly, causing the water temperature to fluctuate. Also, the toilet wasn't smart, which at this price point, it really should be. The minibar was tucked away in a cabinet, making it inconvenient to use. The mattress made strange noises, and the air conditioning system was poor, a bit sluggish and unresponsive. Breakfast: The hotel breakfast did offer a good variety, the setting was comfortable, and the food tasted good. There were also some changes daily, which was a nice touch. Location & Transportation: The location right by Coastal City is extremely convenient. You can walk directly to MixC Phase One and Two, Houhaihui, and Jia Le Dao. This was the main reason I chose this hotel. However, the price-to-value ratio is generally quite poor.

I found the pillow dirty right before bed, so I had to call housekeeping in the middle of the night to get a new one. There were also mosquitoes in the room, and the sealed windows offered no ventilation at all. The next morning, I woke up to find paint peeling off the wall and onto the sofa. It was truly an indescribable experience.
