Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Nanshan

The service was exceptional, very thoughtful and considerate. The lobby bar manager, upon learning that the ice cream truck was not operating, personally brought over ice cream from the buffet and offered it to us. The breakfast selection was rich, nutritious, and delicious. When the restaurant was full, breakfast service was also specially provided at the scenic spots in the lobby bar. Trea and Lucy at the front desk were also very warm and welcoming. The lobby with its incredibly high ceilings offers stunning views, and the swimming pool view is also amazing. Below the hotel is the Coastal City commercial walking street, and it's within walking distance to MixC World and Shenzhen Talent Park, making the location excellent.

The Zhongzhou Marriott Hotel is, without a doubt, the worst star-rated hotel I've ever stayed in. The service is absolutely terrible. You can never find anyone, calls go unanswered for extended periods, and it takes 30 minutes to get a delivery brought up to your room – longer than it takes for the food to even arrive! For a twin room costing 1705 yuan a night, they actually charge for drinks like Coke and 7 Up, at 38 yuan a bottle. Plus, the room design is very poorly thought out.

I have to give a shout-out to Mia and Ashley! Their service was incredibly warm and professional, and they handled everything efficiently and kindly. They helped me wonderfully with any issues that came up. Thanks to them, my stay was absolutely fantastic, and their five-star service left me completely satisfied! 👍

First off, there's no concierge service on the ground floor, so I had to drag my luggage up to the 43rd-floor lobby myself. The front desk staff wasn't even sure if the hotel provided free cribs. The biggest issue was the air conditioning breaking down in the middle of the night; my baby woke up hot and couldn't sleep properly, and I was hot too. Then, all the lights in the room suddenly turned on around 5 AM. By 8 or 9 AM, I noticed the room temperature was stuck between 26 and 26.5 degrees Celsius and wouldn't cool down. I called the front desk to have someone check it, and later they called back to say there was a problem with their main AC unit and it was under repair 🛠️. Not once did any staff member apologize. Also, the outside window had severe water stains that weren't cleaned, which really affected the view. Overall, this stay was a truly terrible experience. I feel the room rate is overpriced, and I won't be choosing Marriott again in the future.

The room was huge, big enough to run around in! The service was also great, and the room was very clean! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shenzhen; the location is super convenient for getting anywhere. Highly recommend!!

The Nanshan Chinese Restaurant at the hotel was excellent and lived up to expectations. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, close to commercial, cultural, and art centers like Coastal City, MixC, and Shenzhen Bay Cultural Plaza. Rooms are situated on the 43rd floor and above, and the gym and swimming pool facilities are quite good.
