Red Roof Inn Mystic - New London

I had a roach in my room the hotel would be perfect if everything was renovated and cleaned the ac went out in my first room and the second room the toilet would be not stop running all night ground maintenance was horrible I don’t know how places like these pass inspection but other than that no complaints just could be way cleaner

The entire place was disgusting. We had to change rooms because of stains and debris on the sheets. We were moved to a room with a massive crack in the mirror, a bathroom you had to stand in the tub in order to shut the door, smelled like wet cigarettes, the smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag. Stains and mold on everything. It was so bad we left a day early and found a clean hotel nearby.

Although I had checked in early, I immediately left for a wedding, and returned at 9 p.m. The heat was turned off in the room, the electric heat wasn't very effective. By 11 p.m. it was still cool. Also reported the toilet wasn't working properly. And ... my credit card wasn't charged for the room, but a hold was put on my card--purportedly until the cleaning staff had cleaned and checked the room. And then, I was informed the "security" charge would, in 3-5 business days be refunded (or--and this wasn't clear--whether the room rate I booked through **********, would be deducted from the withheld monies, and the balance credited to my credit card account). I've never heard of such a thing, nor experienced it at any other lodging facility.

Floors were not clean, shower curtain was ripped at the top, gunk on the wall, shower head practically coming out of the wall, shower was either scorching hot or ice cold, undisclosed $100 hold once I checked in. Bed was stiff and the sheets were more than wrinkled

Let’s be honest, this is a step above being homeless. Room was dark and small, lots of sketchy stuff going on around us. In a positive note, they let us have our dogs there.

The bathroom was not really clean there was soap scum in shower than there was a problem with toilet not flushing contacted front desk said they would bring a plunger they couldnt find it they did put us in another room so that was good

The heat was on when we arrived which is a very good thing in winter in New England. The room was clean and had been recently painted, however the beds need to be replaced the room had a microwave and refrigerator which actually I did not use the most annoying thing is that exactly 11:00 someone came and banged on the door to make sure that we are getting out this was not a cleaner!! We arrived at 3:00 a.m. just a tiny bit of courtesy would have been welcome

Service was great the room was cleaned every day and the front desk was very accommodating

The room was dated and had a funny odor and not sure if it was the refrigerator in the room or the ice machine in the hallway making a strange whooshing noise all night. If you are passing through and everything else is sold out, this'll do.
