Block Island Bunk House

Unreliable, but great potential. The location was great, the room was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nice. The outdoor space was great. I wished we were staying for more than 1 night to really enjoy it more! It is pricey, but we needed a room for 8 and this was able to accommodate that. We called ahead multiple times to clarify questions and to confirm that we could leave our luggage somewhere until our room was ready. We arrived on an early ferry and the place was empty. After looking around for 45 minutes we were able to find some staff at the Pasta Patch for help, and they were able to get in touch with the guy in charge. We were then able to put our stuff in the storage room. Bikes are included in our stay, it wasn’t clear if the bikes we took were actually theirs or someone else’s, there were no helmets, and no kid size bikes. We had to borrow what we could and then rent what we still needed. I reserved fishing poles and bait as part of our stay which my 10 year old was really looking forward to. When we asked about that, no one knew what we were talking about and my son was crushed. We tried to use the shuttle that’s included and they couldn’t find the keys. We asked for extra towels and even that seemed complicated. Being there for one night, it really impacted our time and enjoyment of the island when we were unable to enjoy the amenities that were supposedly included. We booked here because of the location, availability, and the offered amenities. It was a huge disappointment that none of the amenities actually worked out. If we had not expected them, it would have been better, but we planned our trip with those expectations and we were really let down.
