Kashiwagi Onsen

We stayed here to coincide with the cherry blossom festival at Hirosaki Park. The hot spring bath, including the open-air bath, was very hot, but we were told it wasn't heated or diluted, which was great. Amenities are limited to towels, body soap, and toothbrushes, so it's best to bring your own. Because there's a hot spring, there's no shower in the room. The room was a Japanese-style room, spacious enough for two people, and really nice. A 2-liter bottle of water was provided. The toilet is shared. The walls are a bit thin, so noise was a little noticeable at times, but it was still quiet. There are no convenience stores nearby. Breakfast wasn't pre-made; everything was homemade. Everything was delicious. And we were surprised to receive a souvenir when we left. This is a ryokan I would definitely like to stay at again.

The price was more than what I expected! The free-flowing hot spring water was the best, almost slippery, and smooth. I went in three times. They had everything I needed and wanted, except for women, who should bring their own cosmetics. The breakfast was filling and satisfying, and the grilled Aomori shellfish with miso was delicious. When I checked out, they even gave me a souvenir apple juice, and although they were considerate enough to ask if it was heavy, I was delighted to take it home! Thank you so much.
