⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Baraza Resort & Spa – Zanzibar Our stay at Baraza Resort & Spa was nothing short of extraordinary. We had the privilege of spending one night at this stunning all-inclusive, five-star luxury resort while conducting a site inspection, and it exceeded every expectation. A huge thank you to Yassine, the Assistant General Manager, who personally conducted our site inspection. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but he also had an amazing sense of humor that made the tour both informative and enjoyable. His passion for the property and commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience were evident throughout our visit. From the breathtaking architecture and beautifully appointed villas to the impeccable service, Baraza truly defines luxury. The all-inclusive dining experience was outstanding, with every meal thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Every detail of the resort reflects elegance, comfort, and world-class hospitality. What impressed us most was the consistency of service. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, creating an experience that honestly deserves more than five stars—it was a 1000/10! During our time in Zanzibar, we also conducted site inspections at all four properties within The Zanzibar Collection—Baraza, Breezes, The Palms, and Zawadi—and it was clear that each property shares the same exceptional standards of hospitality while offering its own unique character. The staff is very friendly and always checks in to see if everything is going well. The resort is well-maintained. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had a two-bedroom villa for our family. The resort is 1.5 hrs from Zanzibar Airport. We were there during the Full moon period when you have the largest fluctuation of the sea levels during tides. The low tide exposes the reef. One of the beach activities is a reef walk. Even though it is a very unique experience, we would not recommend it. First, it can't be good for the reef. In addition, the reef is full of sea urchins. I needed medical assistance with over 20 instances of sea urchin pricks that needed to be removed by a nurse.

It is sad knowing I will never experience such a wonderful hotel like this again. The hotel was superb. You could not find fault with anything. Location, gardens, accommodation, restaurants were all 10 out of 10. Put aside the great food and drinks, the perfect accommodation, what raises the bar at this hotel are the staff. Nothing is to small for them. From the gardeners, the lobby staff, and restaurant staff they all made us feel special. They are polite and friendly and made us feel we belonged to the hotel family. The best place to relax after a safari.

Perfect end to a busy time on Safari . The resort , staff and food were all first class .. Beautiful , huge villas . I unfortunately had an accident earlier in the holiday but the doctor was at Baraza 7 days a week and was excellent.

All the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They do work hard to look after you. Never been soooo relaxed and could have done with a few more days. The food is out of this world. Tasty and of the highest quality and standard. There are 200 staff employed to keep this resort to the highest of service. Thank you ever so much to Noa, Yassine & all the team.

We had great 5 days at the Baraza Zanzibar Resort. Friendly staff, extremely good food, nice property, a clean room (or more a villa). The location is great for anything like honeymoon or like we did, just hang loose and relax after the intense experience of a safari, spotting the big 5. Although it was only 5 days, it felt we were there 2 weeks.

We stayed at Baraza resort & Spa for 5 nights following a Rwanda and Uganda wildlife focused trip. It was the most perfect stay, the main focus on our trip was wildlife viewing so the time in Zanzibar and our hotel choice received less focus, but we couldn’t have been happier. We stayed in an ocean front villa (No.7) with direct access to the beach and our own private pool. The villa was amazing and spacious in Arabic influence, a theme consistent throughout the resort. The aircon was amazing, the various lounge areas, inside and out were appreciated and used. The bed was so comfortable and fully stocked mini bar with various complementary drinks refreshed each day. Our arrival was approx 10pm and two trays of snacks, fresh fruit, sandwiches were in our Villa waiting for our arrival. Very minor point, the loungers in the Villa could have been a tad more comfortable, but that’s a minor issue really. The toiletries, whilst they were in refillable bottles, we found them really good quality. On the beach there were two reserved sun loungers that we used on many days, with full service even though we were towards the end of the hotel beach grounds, we were never forgotten and within 5 minutes of settling down, water, drinks and any snacks we wanted were available. The service was amazing throughout and very personalised whilst not being intrusive, Ester the food and beverage manager was a star, she always knew everything you had eaten, to genuinely check that you was pleased with the quality and service, even with our extensive travels. The food, we are not buffet people, so when the hotel had à la carte and buffet alternate evenings we were a little dubious. But honestly there was no need, the buffet is not like an average buffet, the food choices / options / live cooking stations, the fresh ingredients were just spot on. You could 100% tell the quality of the food, the service was amazing. The gala dinner was spectacular and then we were invited to lunch on the beach, we were presented with a special seafood menu in the most perfect setting, it was so romantic and perfect, really it was one of the best meals we have ever had….. The grounds were immaculate throughout and the main pool was beautiful, the cocktails, snacks, afternoon tea, we really couldn’t fault a single thing. Thank you Bazara for a faultless stay, it was a memorable end to our adventures, you all do an exceptional job and that is what really does make this one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed……
