I stayed for four nights and four days, and the overall experience was fantastic. The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. When I returned to the lobby after sightseeing, there was tea available, and afternoon tea was also provided, which was perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The breakfast had a rich variety of options and tasted great. The room was clean and tidy, making it a very pleasant stay for my trip. I would definitely consider choosing this place again next time I visit. Highly recommended.

Traveling to Yunnan with friends, Kunming was our last stop, and we chose the Howard Johnson Life Hotel Kunming. Our stay exceeded expectations. The location is superb, making it very convenient to visit the Mushuihua Mushroom Market and Shuangqiao Night Market. The room was clean and tidy, the mattress was comfortable, and the entire room featured smart controls. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The hotel has its own courtyard, a laundry room, and a gym, and parking is convenient for those driving. The front desk staff thoughtfully provided us with complimentary breakfast, which had a rich variety of dishes. The service was warm and attentive, and the environment was quiet. This hotel is perfect for anyone visiting Kunming. Highly recommended!

The hotel staff were very enthusiastic, the room was clean, quiet, and had excellent soundproofing. The breakfast was plentiful with wontons, noodles, and a wide variety of breads and cakes. It's a great choice.

Traveling back from Lijiang, I chose the Howard Johnson Life Hotel in Kunming, mainly because of its close proximity to Shuangqiao Night Market, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. The hotel's overall design is quite stylish. I booked a comfortable king room; it wasn't huge, but it was cozy, clean, and very comfortable to stay in. I especially want to praise the front desk service! We arrived in Kunming on an early morning train around 5 AM, and got to the hotel at 4 PM, which was still before the standard 2 PM check-in time. The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful and arranged an early check-in for us right away, even throwing in five complimentary breakfasts. Otherwise, we would have been stuck waiting with all our luggage, which would have been exhausting. This gesture really saved us a lot of trouble and made our experience fantastic. Breakfast was pretty standard for a city hotel – decent quality and taste. My only minor regret is that the afternoon tea selection was a bit limited with not many options. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking to visit Shuangqiao Night Market; its location is a huge advantage.

The hotel was great! I got a free room upgrade upon check-in and a late check-out until 2 PM. The hotel is conveniently located near bus stops and a subway station, not too far from Kunming Station. It's about a 30-minute Didi ride to the airport. You can take bus 171 to Dianchi Haigang Park, and the subway takes you to Dounan Flower Market. There are also plenty of dining options nearby.
