The Lodge at Woodloch

I just returned from a 3 night get away with a few women friends. I would highly recommend the Lodge at Woodloch to those looking for a serene environment , and to relax. The property is intimate having only 59 sleeping rooms. Services at the spa were wonderful and the cuisine sublime. If seeking a more health oriented facility like Canyon ranch or Miraval, this is not it. The menu is not spa cuisine but superb. The gym is well equipped but the selection of classes is limited. The pool is indoors and very nice but not a lap pool. If one has goals like losing weight, smoking cessation, this is not the right product. Walking the scenic grounds is very relaxing.

My husband and I stayed for two nights in mid-July to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our stay and experience at the Lodge at Woodloch was impeccable from the moment we arrived until we left. The food was perfection, the rooms were spotless and beautiful, the spa was heavenly, and the activities/classes were engaging and enjoyable. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful and was happy to assist us. I can't say enough about the massages, facials, and body treatments. (The Rosemary Awakening treatment with Shannon was heavenly!) We both felt cared for and left with quiet minds. It was a completely immersive experience from the moments we spent hiking the trails, sitting on the lake dock, or walking the meditation labyrinth in peace. Thank you for such a carefully cultivated experience! We'll be telling everyone about it.

The staff is extremely professional and pleasant, and works hard to ensure your every need is fulfilled. Given the robust schedule of activities they offer, I have had fun varying my schedule each time I visit. Additionally, Woodloch is a beautiful, serene environment that offers quality spa treatments to round out the visit, plus their Farm-to-Table meals are delicious!!

Another fantastic experience at The Lodge. Everything and everyone were fabulous! I just can't say enough. I was warmly welcomed back by all staff and want to give a shout out to Joe my waiter each night. He was fantastic and Courtney the hostess always had a smile! Thanks again for a rejuvenating trip. We had a humiliating situation with Caleb on 10/14/25 by the lily pad. We saw a deer and threw an apple to it. Caleb ran up to us and started screaming loudly at us to not throw an apple to the deer. He was aggressive and unprofessional in his tone. It was very scary for a man to yell at us and charge toward us like that. It was completely unnecessary to embarrass us loudly in front of other guests. He could have spoken to us in a calm, respectful manner without having to scold us like children and then storm away angrily before we could say anything or apologize. It really made our experience negative when we came to woodloch to relax. It was shocking to us that we were treated like that as hotel guests. This was not at all the safe, relaxing and tranquil experience we hoped for so we will not be returning to fell threatened, humiliated and disrespected again by Caleb.

This was my third visit to The Lodge at Woodloch. It seems to have changed, and not in a good way. On a positive note, I had a wonderful facial in the spa given by Leslee. On the following day, I had the worst massage of my life. I told the therapist (male) that I did NOT want hard pressure and did NOT want him chasing knots around my back. He did not listen. It was very rough and almost aggressive. Amanda in the spa did apply a credit to my account which was very much appreciated, but I had to cancel my spa appointment for the following day because my back was so painful. One of the spa receptionists seemed bothered whenever you approached the desk. Never a smile on her face. On one of our nights in the restaurant it was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation. There were two large parties of very loud women in the main dining room. They should consider keeping larger parties in the side rooms due to the noise. I completed the evaluation survey they sent me via email expressing all of these items, but have not received a response. So, they are either not reading the surveys, or they just don't care. I am sorry to report that I will not be returning.
