First choice for skiing!

Seeing the summer promotion at Club Med Hokkaido, I booked four nights with friends. Upon arrival, we discovered it was just four days before the resort closed, featuring various carnival nights for Christmas, Halloween, and more – the activities were incredibly well-organized and thoughtful. The all-inclusive package included three different meals a day, and even unlimited Sapporo beer! So many unexpected surprises, the value was simply amazing. Various activities were available, including hiking, mountain biking, and golf, all with experienced instructors. It happened to be a family member's birthday, and the hotel thoughtfully decorated, with staff singing "Happy Birthday" – a truly special occasion. The next day, there was a hotel shuttle to Otaru. I couldn't find fault with it; it far exceeded my expectations. I wonder if other chains would offer such wonderful arrangements.

All-day international cuisine & local specialties: delicious food, four meals a day. All-day main bar drinks: good drinks too, several drinks a day. Facilities: Not recommended for beginners, the instructors are foreign and don't speak Chinese! We took beginner and level 2 courses, the level 2 instructor's service was terrible, he disappeared while skiing and we couldn't find him, the skiing experience was bad and the hotel experience was bad as a result. 3000 yen can get you a very good hotel outside, and hiring a private instructor wouldn't cost this much. Not recommended for couples, there are many children, very rushed, many Western children there. This hotel is the most regrettable thing for anyone going to Japan, it's terrible, terrible, terrible, there's nothing worse than this.

It's a fantastic resort hotel; apart from the slightly inconvenient transportation, it has no other flaws.

Hotel Pros: Good facilities, cleanliness is acceptable, staff are relatively friendly, all-inclusive meals are decent and varied, room prices are quite cheap. Cons: There are a huge number of ********* tour groups in the summer, one after another, making it incredibly crowded. Tips: Although the room rate is cheap, transportation to and from the hotel is very expensive, driving up the overall price. Also, the hotel doesn't allow check-in or check-out using their free Otaru shuttle bus. Therefore, it's recommended to take a taxi from Otaru or Sapporo. I took a taxi from Sapporo for one hour, which cost 17,000 yen. However, getting down from the hotel, you basically only have three options: hotel taxi, hotel shuttle bus, or driving yourself (public transportation is too limited and inconvenient, impractical with children). Hotel taxis are about three times the price of individual taxis, and there's a fixed price paid at the front desk. The shuttle bus only goes to New Chitose, which is also expensive. The picture shows the front desk taxi prices for reference. Children whose native language is not English or Japanese are reluctant to go to the kids' club because they really can't understand… There are indeed ********* staff at the club, but only one or two with children, so they can't possibly cater to all ages of Mandarin-speaking children. In conclusion, I think Tomaru, accessible by JR, offers better value for money, at least in terms of freedom of movement in and out of the mountains.

This hotel is famous for skiing, and a visit in the summer is also very meaningful. It's cool and refreshing, with strolls along the mountain stream, sometimes crisscrossing the tennis courts, and sometimes riding with a trainer on the cycling track. It's also not far from Otaru. The most noteworthy thing about it is the staff of Club Med. They are warm and hospitable and very dedicated. There are also Chinese staff who are fluent in Mandarin. I am very grateful for their warm hospitality. It was an unforgettable trip.

This was a very relaxing ski holiday at Club Med, the food was good and the kids enjoyed the group ski lessons. Highly recommended. The only regret was that many guests at the hotel had norovirus. Hopefully the hotel will strengthen the management of this virus next winter. We will come again.

The hotel is very new, with Chinese services provided by ********* men and women. The hotel can directly take the cable car to and from the ski resort. The price of renting ski equipment at the hotel is cheaper than going directly to Kiroro, which is a discount for hotel guests. Remember to bring your own snow goggles, which are personal items that are only sold but not rented. There are many people in the free skiing courses, so it is more efficient to pay for a coach yourself. Needless to say, there are a wide variety of drinks and meals, which are not repeated and of good quality. The two nights we stayed happened to be New Year's Eve and the first day of the new year. There was a fireworks show, the atmosphere of the Chinese New Year was very strong, and the overall experience was very good. Except for the price, there is nothing wrong. Come to Kiroro to ski next year
