Stone House Inn

Room was clean and beautiful. Staff was friendly professional and prompt when checking in and out and anything else we needed during our stay. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but good, kids were a bit picky about it. Quite area. Only downside was everything is a drive. The beach is a bit of a walk or bike but the beach itself was nice and not overcrowded. Definitely worth the stay and would recommend and return in future.

Place is nice, the staff helpful, has a limited continental breakfast and it is not so close to Newport as I thougth. But it is a nice small hotel good for taking some days off in a relaxed environment.

The grounds are gorgeous and Hilary at the front desk was so kind and welcoming. It’s a perfect place for couples to get away, unplug, and enjoy the quiet area and relax.

View is amazing, breakfast in the am is superb. I would have liked to know ahead of time that I was staying at the adjacent building instead of the actual Stone Hill building, but it was still great. The speakeasy was totally fun, but I would raise the rate of the room a smidge and offer the customer their first beer, wine or cocktail for free. People love that.

Amazing place, excellent service and great accommodations

So there's no real amenities at this place even though you pay a resort and amenities fee. Property doesnt have the restaurant running at the inn which is the only real amenity so that was a major bummer since you kind of rely on it being open for dinner considering everything else is 40 mins out w/o traffic. The rooms were really nice at one point but now theres visible cracks in the ceiling and pillars as well as a change in the quality of beds they have. My wife and I noticed immediately when we laid on the mattress is was a cheaper one than before because we got the same room again this time around and we wanted to go home and sleep on our mattress at home because its nicer than what they offer now. Overall gorgeous land around the area just think you could probably get a better experience this point at an Air BNB over in little compton or somewhere nearby..major dip in quality overall from our last visit. I hope this property is doing okay..we'd like to see it last and do better in the future!

Staying at the Stone House feels like a step back in time. The property is both historic and modern, with simple yet elegant rooms that would seem right at home in Finland. My only note: the $35 activity fee, which covers a very simple continental breakfast of boxed cereal, oatmeal packets, fresh fruit, toasted oats, yogurt, bagels, boiled eggs, and pastry. For two people, there's no way we ate or could have eaten $35 of this stuff. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
