Hôtel la Roya

We stayed at La Roya for 6 nights in June. It was nothing short of exceptional. The room was fantastic and spacious, with 2 private balconies and a private terrace. Plenty of space for myself, my husband, and our 5-year-old, with ocean views for all. It was exceptionally clean upon arrival and throughout our stay. The hotel is about a 15-min walk on the beach from Saint-Florent center. We did the walk several times a day with our 5-year-old with no problems. The breakfast at the hotel features high-quality products from Corsica in addition to the normal fare. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming every day. The property is extremely quiet and peaceful, though we did not feel out-of-place at all having our son with us. The staff at the hotel are absolutely wonderful. I was especially appreciative of Phillippe, who assisted me in having a special gift delivered for my husband and son, and who always took great care in assembling my son's stuffed animals in a cute way when tidying our room for us. Staff were also very helpful in arranging taxis for us when we went to other parts of the island and to/from the airport. We are from California, but I speak OK French (level B2). I had no problems at all communicating in both English and French; staff were always available to assist us no matter our needs. We can't wait to return :)

Loved this hotel, from the moment you arrive nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are amazing, very quiet and the views are spellbinding. The smell of Jasmine drifting up to our room from the gardens below will stay with me forever. Staff could not be more helpful. Walk into town along the narrow beach in the evening to the many excellent restaurants, although the restaurant at the hotel was excellent as well.

we just spent one week holidays in this amazing hotel. It is located direct on the beach, surrounded by a big garten and no neighbour: a small private paradise. The hotel is built such as the sea can be seen from every room and almost from everywhere. Our room was spacious, modern, very clean and beautiful. All was perfect: taking a breakfast on the terrasse next to the sea, the food's offer and quality, the kindness and helpness of the whole personal...simply perfect! This hotel is outstanding.

Very special place in a very special part of Corsica. The staff and the food are excellent. Would find it challenging to stay anywhere else in the north of island.

We stayed one night at the hotel and it was one night too many…rooms are outdated, mine was missing a lock to close the door, restaurant has poor service and most of the wine on the wine list is not available…I would not rexommend this hotel. That being said, the barman (Samuel) saved our night! Thanks Samuel

Hotel clean and comfortable but overpriced Walk along beach into town Beach looked messy due to leaves etc in water and along the sand not anywhere you felt like paddleing or swimming. , not hotels fault inside the hotel boundary it was spotless Enjoyed trip to Lotu beach but book early and sunset tour on the Dream of the Sea from town quay

Clean and beautiful, large room and bathroom, very good bed, quiet - you truly feel in heaven. Beautiful and very good restaurant, great swimming pool, exercise room and massage. On the beach! But their biggest asset: their staff! I am 71 years old and travelled a lot, in good hotels and I have never met people more friendly and helpful than here! Examples: the concierge ran after us to provide sun umbrella and towels when she knew we are going to the beach And the restaurant ( I want to mention Sylvie in particular, but they were all incredibly nice) accommodated us with our food restrictions and looked after us all day! In my book: the best experience ever in a hotel! Kudos to you!

Loved this hotel. Beautiful location across the bay from St Florent (10mins walk along the beach). Lovely grounds, helpful staff, lots of parking, good restaurant & very good breakfast. Lots of parking.
