Hotel Royal Bangkok

Maybe a slightly biased review as we originally booked a windowless queen room but when we arrived we were upgraded to a suite which was very much appreciated. The hotel is right on the man Chinatown Road which makes it both very convenient and very busy. The room we had was very big and well equipped. The hotel has all the amenities you might need, but the pool is quite small and always very busy. Would definitely recommend if you want a hotel near Chinatown.

Corridor not enough lighting. One bulb in my room blown and room was bit dark. Wear and tear due to high occupancies. Location good for eateries but too many tourists. Next door 7 eleven very small n cramp and shelves always empty.

The hotel situated right in Chinatown Bangkok, you can feel the hustle bustle right away ! So much to look at and eat in the area, the best part is can get back to the hotel right away if needed a washroom break 😉 The hotel is easy to locate from far away, great service from the moment you stepped out of the car, I was lucky got upgraded to a room with window on the higher floor, it really made my day ! Thank you ! Plus they have a scale in the lobby to check your luggage weight to avoid unnecessary fines at the airport

Approximately 5 minutes walk from Wat ManKong MRT Station, I’am Chinatown Shopping Mall around the corner, 711 convenience store just next to hotel. Lots os amenities nearby

Staff was really rude. Waiting in the lobby for the room I was told I would have to step outside to finish my half of a coke or throw it away, as they have a strict policy of no outside drinks in the hotel. The room was dingy and dated. There was a sock in the room from the previous guest sitting on the dresser. I guess they don’t clean all that well. The pool is small and crowded. The one time I went for a swim there were no towels available. The location is fine for street-food but has nothing more to offer. I read the reviews before I booked, really surprised at how bad this hotel was. Bangkok has much better options for hotels at this price point.
