Hotel Royal Bangkok

We were worried with not being able to get a connecting room but fortunately we did and it was great! Just that the aircon for one room was abit warmer than the other room. But other than that service good

Very good hotel in the heart of Chinatown, the room was clean and staff welcoming, floor 14 was a little noisy in comparison to other floors I’ve stayed on in the past but all in all it’s an amazing hotel in the centre of Yaowarat Road. Also check out the view from the rooftop for stunning visuals of the Bangkok skyline

Hotel Royal, located in the heart of Bangkok's vibrant Chinatown, is a fantastic choice for travelers. Guests consistently praise the hotel for its immaculate cleanliness and modern comforts. Its prime location allows for easy access to the bustling street stalls and delicious food of the night market.

We came here because this hotel has the best location in Chinatown. The most popular street is just st the door step. We even got to eat at the doorstep when it rained. A block away from the morning / night market. Also walking distance to the new trendy art street - Song Wat. The room is so spacious. Daily cleaning. Thanks to staff Cream (reception) and Wattaphan for helping us. We are very happy for this stay.

This is an old hotel in the midst of Chinatown. The rooms are well furnished (even if without windows) and the breakfast is quite ok with Thai rice dishes, eggs & ham/sausages, fruits and breads/croissants and beverages. There's a nice 25m rooftop pool. This hotel is within 150m of a blue line metro station (2 stops from grand palace), and a small lotus supermarket with a KFC within 250m. There's LOTS of street food in front of the hotel at night, and street/alley shopping a block opposite. Our only issue is with the bad odour that enters the hotel lobby from the road which itself stinks (probably due to very poor drainage).

The Hotel is ideally situated in the middle of Chinatown, which is why we chose this establishment. It is rather dated, but for the price, it was very good value. Rooms could do with a freshen up and the Smart TV was anything but. Not connected to the internet nor did the HDMI plug on the wall work, so we couldn’t connect to the tv at all. Had to settle for what ever channels were pre set. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very disappointing stay. The room had a strong unpleasant smell coming from the carpet and the condition was poor. When I asked the staff if there was any room with better condition, the response was rude and dismissive. They simply said that because I booked a no-window room, all rooms were the same. I later contacted Trip.com regarding the issue. Only then did the hotel offer a room upgrade — at 9am on the day of my checkout, which was already too late. The hotel also told Trip.com that my room had already been upgraded earlier, which was completely untrue. Poor customer service and dishonest handling of complaints.
