PearlDrop Waves Mirissa

A decent property in Mirissa ,walkable to the beach. Hosts are polite and courteous,accomodating and friendly. Rooms are good with a decent view from the balcony. There is no provision of lift, guests have to climb up and down the steep staircase . Breakfast and food are tastefully done and presented with courtesy.They donot serve liquor. A small pool at the lobby ideal for a dip or for kids. The only glitch is they are charging 3% extra on payments through digital mode ,which is not encouraging since most of the business establishments encourage digital payments at no additional cost. Overall a satisfying stay and food experience.

Our stay at PearlDrop Waves Mirissa was honestly better than we expected. We were really positively surprised by the whole place. The owner was great, very kind and helpful, and the same goes for the staff. Everyone was smiling, friendly and ready to help with anything. One small thing which we really appreciated was that the owner even borrowed us an adapter, which we didn’t expect but it helped us a lot. The room was beautiful, clean and had an amazing view of the ocean. The whole place has a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. They also have their own restaurant and the breakfast was really delicious. I honestly don’t have any real negatives to mention. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and for us it was a very nice experience. I can definitely recommend this place.

Enjoyed my stay. Right next to the ocean and two transport companies. Breakfast was a spread, and so was dinner. A lot of food. There’s a pool in the hotel. Rooms all overlook the ocean although views are better in higher floors. There’s a free for all roof top. Owner was kind enough to prepare me a boxed breakfast cos I had to check out at 5:30 am. The hotel is a short walk out to the main road, where there is a provision shop nearby.

We had a great stay! Beautiful view, delicious breakfasts, and friendly staff who were very helpful and arranged transport to Ella for us. The rooms were clean, nice, and came with a private bathroom. Would definitely recommend!

PearlDrop is a cozy and homely little boutique hotel tucked away from the main road of Mirissa but right on the beach. The host Eranga, is very helpful and the place gives off a very laid-back overall vibe. The rooms are very spacious and has a little bit of a sea view. The only thing missing from our room was a TV, however, the balcony and view at night made up for it. The second highlight of this hotel is the lovely rooftop, where you can get an unobstructed view of Mirissa beach, which is just fantastic. Finally, their best feature, according to us, was their food. They have a pretty stacked menu and everything we tried tasted amazing. The road leading to the hotel can be difficult to find, mainly at night but all the tuk tuks in the area know the hotel pretty well. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Pearl Drop Waves in Mirissa for 3 nights and had a truly comfortable and enjoyable experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a great place to relax after exploring the area. What made the stay even better was the warm and cooperative staff. A special mention to Eranga, who was always available to answer our questions and go the extra mile to help us. He even recommended a local massage experience, which turned out to be one of the best things we did during our trip to Sri Lanka! The breakfast was delicious, and the team was kind enough to make small customizations to suit our Indian taste buds—especially when it came to the tea, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a lovely stay with genuine hospitality. Highly recommended if you're visiting Mirissa and want a peaceful, friendly place close to the beach.

What impressed me the most here was the cleanliness, from the lobby to the room. The staff provided excellent service—they were polite and very friendly. Breakfast options included either Western or Sri Lankan dishes. We chose the Sri Lankan breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious. The room was spacious, clean, and fully equipped with all the amenities we needed. The hotel also offered tour services, but unfortunately, due to our limited time, we couldn't take part in any tours. I will definitely come back again!

This is our second visit with my 96 year old father. Eranga and his team looked after us very well. We did two excursions. Both were well organised by Eranga. Food was delicious. My father enjoyed the stay. Must try banana fritters for dessert. Fish platter was very nice.

We stayed at this venue for 2 nights and it was the best. The host/ owner really looked after us and we loved the extra breakfast. The room was beautiful, great bed, probably the best part of our whole trip in Sri Lanka. There was a Tuk Tuk driver right around the corner and he took us to the main part of Mirissa for 500 Rupee ($2.50 AUD). Unluckily we did not get to go snorkelling with the turtles due to the weather. Terrific, quiet spot to stay. The pool is great and the upstairs area was very relaxing place for dinner.
