The standard rooms are fairly small, especially the bathroom. But they are wonderfully appointed, the bar/lounge is stellar, and the staff (from top to bottom) are fantastically well-trained, helpful, and friendly. I recommend upgrading to a larger room for the perfect stay/experience.

Excellent place to stay in downtown Des Moines. So close to many things. Offers free shuttle service to anywhere within a 2 mile radius. Really nice restaurant and bar on site.

Nice bar area. We enjoyed watching it snow and having a drink before bed. Easy parking, great room, and easy to walk to lots of our favorites.

This property provides easy access to the Des Moines Civic Center by the covered walkways. The room was comfortable, clean and updated. I will definitely stay here again.

Heat in the room wouldn’t turn on, it never got warmer than 65 degrees. The lounge bar area was nice.
