Holiday Inn Express SINGAPORE KATONG by IHG

This holiday Inn is definitely 4 star worthy. Facility and the room is super nice and clean that it feels like new. The room is also unexpectedly larger than I thought it would be. Only draw back is the bus stop and shopping plaza is a good 10min walk each way. You can see the plaza and bus stop across the street but need to walk around crossing the street. Which is bummer in the singapore heat.

I stayed here for 3 nights. While the hotel was clean and the breakfast was good, I felt it was overpriced for what it offered. It felt more like a business hotel than a full-service hotel. The amenities were quite limited, with only a small gym available. One thing that stood out was the lack of staff. If you need something as simple as toiletries, you have to go to the front desk to pick them up—they won’t deliver them to your room. During my stay, I called to request toiletries and was told to collect them at the front desk. When I arrived, there was a long line of guests checking in, and there was no staff member available at the desk. I ended up waiting about 5–7 minutes just to pick up the toiletries I had already requested. Overall, the hotel was comfortable enough and maintained good cleanliness, but considering the price, I expected better service and more amenities.
