Hotel Virxe da Cerca by Pousadas de Compostela

Lovely old building,great location , beautiful garden to sit in and listen to the birds in the Avery. Good quality hams at breakfast. Will stay again

This hotel is located very close to the food market and along a main road. Our hotel room was located in a separate section of main hotel building and required stair access. A staff member assisted us with transporting luggage to the room. The hotel has secondary entrance that is located on a side lane, but the gradient is quite steep. The room had good ventilation and had enough sound proofing that we didn't hear too much noise from the pub nearby. Our room included small table and chair set on the terrace where we had views of the nearby park. The Cathedral was a 15 minute slow walk away and we were able to walk easily to the main train station with luggage (downhill route) for our onward journey.

Rooms was clean and big enoght for tree night. Staff was perfect and breakfast was really good. Thanks a lot

Conveniently located near shopping, bus line, Cathedral. Parking is an issue. Dripping water at night (leak above us? Condensation from A/C?) Roommate almost tripped on puddle on floor. Breakfast room was very pleasant and bright. Great variety of food and drink. Receptionist was friendly and stored our luggage while we toured the area before taking a train back to Madrid in the afternoon.
