Hotel Virxe da Cerca by Pousadas de Compostela

Lovely old building,great location , beautiful garden to sit in and listen to the birds in the Avery. Good quality hams at breakfast. Will stay again

This hotel is located very close to the food market and along a main road. Our hotel room was located in a separate section of main hotel building and required stair access. A staff member assisted us with transporting luggage to the room. The hotel has secondary entrance that is located on a side lane, but the gradient is quite steep. The room had good ventilation and had enough sound proofing that we didn't hear too much noise from the pub nearby. Our room included small table and chair set on the terrace where we had views of the nearby park. The Cathedral was a 15 minute slow walk away and we were able to walk easily to the main train station with luggage (downhill route) for our onward journey.

Rooms was clean and big enoght for tree night. Staff was perfect and breakfast was really good. Thanks a lot

Fantastic value & superb service I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. The property/lobby photos don't do it justice...the hotel oozes charm. We felt more like we were in the UK versus Spain, the only thing missing was a roaring fire in the common area (although there is a small gas fireplace in the cafe). The service was fantastic, especially the ladies in the cafe in the morning. Front desk was incredibly helpful with lending us charging cables and an umbrella. Large rooms, water in the bathroom nice & hot, and comfy beds (if you like firm...minor gripe is we would prefer foam-top). We were there the last week of November, and they were putting up Christmas decorations the day before we left, which made it all the more charming. Truly incredible value for the price. 100% recommended!

I stayed at the San Francisco hotel a few days earlier. The virxe da circa hotel is a much better place
