Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel

Disney-adjacent hotel, experience exceeded expectations, peaceful and comfortable ✨ Returning from Hawaii, we had a layover in Tokyo and specifically chose this Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay. It's incredibly convenient for Disney. There's a direct monorail right outside the hotel, a 300 yen one-way trip takes you to both Disney Land & Disney Sea. There's also a 700 yen round-trip Disney commemorative ticket featuring cartoon characters – beautiful and worth collecting. Upon check-in, the front desk was very thoughtful and upgraded us for free to a high-floor balcony room, directly facing the pool, chapel, and sea view, with an amazing view. The room, as always with Japanese hotels, was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The dining was a pleasant surprise; the hotel has 4 breakfast restaurants in total. We tried 2 of them: One was large with a rich selection and lively atmosphere, the other was an exquisite Western restaurant. Both Japanese and Western dishes were plentiful, with plenty of coffee, tea, and other drinks. There was also a dedicated cotton candy and small play area for children, very family-friendly. Transportation was also a big plus: The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Maihama subway station, making it very convenient to get to the city center; There's also a direct airport bus, making travel connections very hassle-free. Overall, it's quiet, comfortable, convenient, with attentive service. If you're going to Tokyo Disney, staying here offers both high value for money and an excellent experience, truly recommended! 🏰🌊

The hotel room is spacious. There's a free shuttle bus to Maihama and the subway station, which is right across from the hotel. They also have another shuttle bus service. The buffet breakfast is served in the main hall on the first floor. It's originally 4000 yen, but after discount, it's 3200 yen, which is pretty good for a taste of Japanese specialties, but be prepared to queue. When returning from Disney, you can buy bento boxes in the lobby, which are also decent.

This hotel is, to put it mildly, a mixed bag. The facilities and hardware are decent, but the service really needs a major upgrade. As a Marriott Sheraton, an international hotel, there should be a certain standard of service, but it felt like some staff members lacked a good service attitude. The breakfast restaurant service, on the whole, felt average and not very friendly. Surprisingly, the amusement park charges separately and doesn't accept WeChat or Alipay – the payment options are really subpar. The staff seemed inflexible and didn't seem to consider guests' needs. The shuttle bus staff for airport transfers were even worse; they saw guests struggling with lots of luggage but didn't offer to help load it, and even checked tickets prematurely. One female staff member wearing glasses particularly stood out. Overall, the service is poor, lacking warmth and consideration for guests. It feels like a superficial politeness without genuine concern for customer needs. Marriott management really needs to refresh this hotel's culture and values. If they can't genuinely serve guests and even discriminate against Chinese tourists, then their service team needs a complete overhaul. On the positive side, some staff members were good, like the young Japanese man at the luggage storage, who was very helpful. Overall, I probably won't stay here again; the experience was generally poor.

We visited Disneyland on a rainy winter day. The three of us, soaking wet, scurried back to the hotel, and it was incredibly warm! Very impressive! I hope to stay here again on a sunny day next time!

This hotel doesn't have king-size beds, only twin beds. I was worried my child might fall off, so I contacted the front desk to see if they had a bed rail. While they didn't, the staff kindly pushed the two beds together and against the wall, which was fantastic! We ended up with a super-sized bed! We were given a lower floor, but still had a view of the ocean and the Hilton across the way. The hotel has a kids' play area, which costs extra even for guests, but it's very affordable, I think around 1500 JPY for one adult and one child for an hour. It includes trampolines and a climbing wall. Overall, the hotel service was quite good.
