Putri Duyung Ancol

We booked a premium room – it was a nightmare. The soundproofing is terrible; kids are running and screaming right above your head. The AC unit is positioned directly over the bed and blows right onto it. The area itself is awful! Taxis take 30-50 minutes to get here (we only managed to solve this issue at the reception). You also have to pay an additional fee to enter the Ancol area, and this fee doesn't even include access to any of the parks inside. The 'Infinity' pool is overflowing with children. The hotel, in general, is packed with locals; we didn't see a single European. The beach is a shallow, dirty puddle, again, crammed with locals, all wrapped in scarves with tons of children.

I really liked this place; it's very close to many attractions in Ancol. However, the rooms could use an update.

The room was great, the view was beautiful, and the service was quick and friendly.

This is a very old hotel, with individual bungalows, suitable for a leisure trip. The bungalows are on a private island, like an upscale residential community, so it's inconvenient without a car as dining and attractions are far away. The rooms don't have international standard power outlets. The towels and bathroom facilities are also outdated. It's primarily a resort, so it's fine for vacations, but not recommended for business travel.

The environment is good but the hotel facilities are a bit old, I hope they can be renovated

The room should be renovated. The swimming pool and the building look very dilapidated.
