Viceroy Bali

Although we only stayed at Viceroy Bali for one night to celebrate our anniversary, it genuinely felt long enough mainly because we were able to check in early at around 12 pm, which allowed us to enjoy the villa and facilities without feeling rushed. We also paid for an upgrade to the Elephant Villa, which is the only one of its kind in the entire resort, and it was absolutely worth it. The villa felt extremely private, spacious, and special, making the anniversary stay even more memorable. Waking up and spending the afternoon surrounded by the lush Ubud valley views was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptional. We were greeted with beautiful hanging flowers placed around our necks, and the scent was unforgettable. My girlfriend even mentioned that the fragrance instantly made her feel relaxed and sleepy in the best way possible. During check-in, we were also offered a welcome dessert (an ice cream style treat), which was a thoughtful and refreshing touch. What truly stood out during our stay was the service. Among all three villas we stayed at in Bali, Viceroy Bali provided the best service by far. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The small conversations asking about where we were heading next and casually chatting felt natural and personal, making us feel more like welcomed guests than just visitors. Another detail worth mentioning is the buggy service. The waiting time was noticeably shorter compared to the other villas we stayed at, making getting around the property smooth and effortless. Overall, Viceroy Bali delivers an outstanding balance of luxury, privacy, and heartfelt hospitality. Even with just a one-night stay, it felt complete and fulfilling. I would highly recommend this property especially the Elephant Villa for couples celebrating a special occasion or anyone seeking an intimate, high-end retreat in Ubud. I would definitely return for a longer stay next time.

Overall experience fell below expectations of a 5 star hotel.  Noteworthy : food was great at fnb outlets . Especially Aperitif restaurant

We went for our 20th wedding anniversary and could not have been happier with our choice! This place is stunning both inside and out. We were amazed by how beautiful the surroundings were with every detail well thought out. The room was stunning and well laid out. When we arrived they had cooled down the room and heated the pool which was the absolute perfect temperature the entire time. Having a wam pool was a big part of how much we enjoyed our stay as we spent quite a bit of time in it. The room and outside patio area was very private and we felt as though we were the only ones there at times. The food was also amazing whether we ate at the poolside restaurant, the high end restaurant Aperitif, or eating in the Pinstripes Bar. We really enjoyed the bar and the staff there. They were so attentive and everyone made us feel right at home. We enjoyed great conversations there and got some good recommendations on things to see in the area. The drinks were really next level as these bartenders know their craft. It was fun to watch them mix the drinks and they explained the science behind what flavors they were combining and how some of the spices and other ingredients were locally sourced. The entire staff was also another highlight. Everyone we encountered could not have been more friendly and attentive. The general manager even took the time to sit with us to see how our stay was going and asking other questions that showed he was very committed to the property. We also like that this is a family owned property. They were staying there while we were there and it was clear they too all had a passion for excellence. We researched properties for months before deciding on Viceroy. We did spend a bit more in the end than we may have for other 5 star properties, but after reading some of the reviews at the other places, we kept circling back to Viceroy. We are so glad we did and in the end, the extra money still made the stay seem like a bargain. We have paid about the same for a tiny room in a substandard hotel in New York City and here we were treated like kings in one of the most beautiful spots we have ever stayed in.
