You pay for what you get. For us it was perfectly fine. The room was big, spacious and clean. The hotel and toom was a bit dated, but nothing too serious. I think if you're the type who is not too particular about things, this would be a good fit.
P.S The toilet door does not close so make sure you travel with someone you're comfortable with😆

We had a smooth check-in experience, thanks to the very helpful front desk staff. Initially, we had booked a room without a window, but due to a noticeable smell of smoke, they promptly changed our room and provided one with a window instead. We appreciated the quick and considerate response. Overall, this hotel might be more suitable for guests who smoke, as there seemed to be lingering smoke in some rooms. However, with the windowed room, our stay became much more comfortable.

The receptionist are very kind and friendly and the location is really good near subway and easy to going everywhere and it's really near to universal resort but the hotel is old and is not very clean but in general is good for 3 or 4 nights staying

I had a pleasant stay at Shell, it's is at a quite location and about 10 minutes walk to the subway station.The staffs at the hotel are friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good stay.

Basic room if you want a budget option to stay in Beijing
Rooms could be cleaner, but the we were given a new room, because the old one was full of cigarette smoke, without a hassle.
