HOSHINOYA Taketomi Island

Hoshinoya Taketomi Island is truly a hidden gem, perfect for finding peace and completely unwinding. The environment is incredibly natural and the service is excellent; anything you need is promptly brought to your room. The shabu-shabu delivered to the room for dinner was delicious, and the sukiyaki set meal at the restaurant was also good, though breakfast was just average. Overall, it left a wonderful impression on me, and I would definitely go back.

This was a trip to celebrate my mother's birthday. I chose this hotel because I'd always wanted to live in an Okinawan house. The space in the room was even more beautiful than I'd imagined, and I was particularly impressed by how the whole place recreated the feel of an entire village, making me feel like I was experiencing island life. Suzy was a maze, but thanks to the unassuming signposts, we were able to find our destination. The unique Okinawan plantings were also lovely. We spent three days enjoying island time, leaving the veranda open and feeling the tropical breeze, walking to the sea, and reading books. My mother was also very impressed and pleased. Thank you to all the staff.

The most comfortable hotel, service, culture, experience, food, the feeling of seclusion is very good and comfortable, the only drawback is that you can't see the sea directly. If the wind is strong on the island, the house will creak

For a hoshinoya, it's just average. The facilities are hard to use. I stayed in the room.

Magnificent hotel. Very attentive staff. The traditional Japanese rooms are superb. The French-Japanese dinner at the hotel is worth the detour. The island is cute but there isn't much to do. I recommend going to the star sand beach and collecting star sand. It’s a good souvenir to bring back.
