Château les Carrasses

Outstanding staff in beautiful surroundings in an excellent location of France. We hiughly recommend the Chateau les Carrasses: a wide range of facilities to enjoy, and to suit all ages. Lots to explore in the surrounding area, for example Pezenas and Narbonne, and only about 20 minutes drive to the Mediterranean. The Chateau itself is in very peaceful surroundings, surrounded by vineyards.

A very beautiful hotel/family resort. Immaculately managed. Very friendly and professional service. All in a lovely setting, surrounded by vineyards. The accommodation (a spacious suite) was luxurious. A fine dinner and breakfast. We particularly appreciated Fita the assistant manager. And Lina who served us breakfast was very thoughtful. All-round, a great experience.

The view from the castle on the flourishing fields is marvelous. You fell like you experience an impressioniste painting.

A truly fairytale stay for the entire family. An overall high service level. Beautiful villas and we loved that you could choose from in house dining in the villa or visit the restaurant at the Chateau, you could even order food to bring to the villa. Perfect for families.

We had a wonderful break here. The surrounding towns/villages really embrace the festive season. Also the Chateau is decorated to oerfection. Losta Of walks And good restaurants open X

We had a lovely time here but the reviews we read before here didn’t tell us as much as I wish we’d known… Positives: - beautiful setting - friendly staff - amazing kids club programme including pony rides and working on the farm - brilliant farm, pool and playground for kids; our eight year old daughter was so happy - food better than the reviews suggested and the BBQ evening especially impressive - overall a great week and a lovely property However: - the chateau rooms are so loud; it’s an old creeking building where you hear every footstep or door opening - and the restaurant terrace and/ or front door are underneath you; had we known this we’d definitely have gone for a different accommodation as I don’t think these issues apply in the villas - the chateau rooms also need some love and care; we had issues with things working and plumbing throughout - in the end I didn’t get one great night’s sleep from noise/ staff clearing up or setting up breakfast; and that’s not ideal - it’s quite a hands off property - no towels available by the pool (one day they’d run out, another day the staff member said she could get them in an hour as she was busy, another day the dryer had broken), barely any service by the pool, you can drag around your own heavy umbrellas etc; could easily just be made a little easier for guests at times - breakfast quite poor and small for a high fee; one apple in a fruit bowl was the only fruit available on our first morning but last making fresh omelettes and crepes worked well None of this really detracts from our week which was great and our eight year old daughter had an especially lovely time.

We love the area and the Chateau. We are planning to go back and revisit in the summer and winter for the holidays. The food, service and rooms were incredible. Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous time at the Chateau and would definitely consider returning. We stayed in a self-catering unit so had limited interactions with staff around the bar and restaurant area - but everyone we encountered was very pleasant. Lots to do in the immediate area and on the grounds - but a car is essential to get about (unless you are content with long walks around the Chateau and local area). We visited in shoulder season, but I can imagine the hotel grounds (and pool) can get quite lively when a number of families are staying at the hotel. Be prepared for that.
